Key Points

The company acquired only 7,430 ETH units (approximately US$14 million) this week, the smallest purchase volume in a single week since implementing the Ethereum treasury strategy.

The decrease coincided with the company's repurchase of 5.5 million shares at an average price of $15.62 as part of its massive $4 billion share repurchase program.

The current position of Ethereum has reached 5.78 million ETH, worth approximately US$10.9 billion, accounting for 4.8% of all outstanding tokens.

As of July 19, the company's total assets reached US$11.5 billion, including Bitcoin, liquid assets and two strategic equity investments.

BMNR shares rose 2.4% in pre-market trading on Monday.

Bitmine Immersion Technologies (BMNR)

Bitmine (BMNR) has significantly scaled back its Ethereum acquisition strategy in the past week, purchasing only 7,430 ETH units worth approximately US$14 million, a significant slowdown compared to the aggressive accumulation rate so far this year. The stock rose 2.4% in pre-market trading on Monday.

The acquisition increased Bitmine's total Ethereum holdings to 5.78 million, worth approximately US$10.9 billion based on the current price of approximately US$1,879 each. This makes the company a holder of approximately 4.8% of Ethereum's total circulation supply of 120.7 million pieces.

To illustrate the huge difference between this week and previous activities: In May, Bitmine received more than 111,000 ETH units in just one week. In the first six months of 2026, the company continued to accumulate tens of thousands of tokens every week.

Chairman Tom Lee directly attributed the slowdown in acquisitions to the share repurchase program. The company diverted funds through its ongoing $4 billion repurchase program, which bought back 5.5 million shares of common stock at an average price of $15.62, with a total expenditure of approximately $86 million.

"The decline in acquisition speed reflects Bitmine's repurchase of 5.5 million shares of common stock," Lee said in the company announcement.

Li also emphasized that since adopting the treasury strategy in June 2025, Bitmine has maintained uninterrupted weekly ETH purchases for more than a year.

Ethereum Position and Pledge Business

As of July 19, the company's total assets reached US$11.5 billion. In addition to its huge ETH position, Bitmine also holds 207 bitcoins,$385 million in cash and liquid securities,$180 million in equity in Beast Industries and $58 million in investment positions in Eightco Holdings.

Pledge business is a key component of the business model. Bitmine currently pledges 4.92 million Ethereum tokens through its MAVAN pledge infrastructure, accounting for approximately 85% of its total positions, and is expected to have annualized revenue of approximately US$247 million.

Close to the 5% milestone

The company's stated goal is to control 5% of the entire circulating Ethereum supply. Currently at 4.8%, the company is approaching that goal-however, this week, which focuses on repos, suggests that Bitmine can still flexibly suspend accumulation when other capital allocation opportunities arise.

Whether the share repurchase program maintains its current strength or whether the ETH acquisition returns to its previous pace may become an indicator that BMNR shareholders will closely watch in the coming weeks.

According to Monday's company update, the company holds 5.78 million ETH tokens, of which 4.92 million are currently used for pledge operations.
