Gray submits S-1 registration statement for the first world coin ETF in the United States
Cryptocurrency asset management company Grayscale submitted its S-1 registration statement for the first world coin ETF in the United States on Monday. The ETF will provide investors with access to WLD tokens through exchange-traded products.
According to the preliminary prospectus, the grayscale world coin ETF is planned to be listed on Nasdaq with the trading code GWLD. BitGo Bank & Trust will be responsible for custodian of the World Currency (WLD), Bank of New York Mellon (BNY Mellon) will serve as manager and transfer agent, and CSC Delaware Trust Company will serve as trustee.
The document does not disclose specific details of management fees, seed investments, authorized participants or liquidity providers.
Related Background
WLD is an ERC-20 token based on the Ethereum blockchain and a native token of the World Project (founded by OpenAI CEO Sam Ultraman). The project uses biometric technology to distinguish between humans and robots.
The proposed world currency ETF is the 17th cryptocurrency-related exchange-traded product provided by Gray. Previously, Gray has launched ETF products that track Bitcoin (BTC), Ripple (XRP), Solana (SOL), Ethereum (ETH), Dogecoin (DOGE) and Link (LINK).
