The inflow of funds from the Ethereum ETF reached US$105.44 million during the trading period from July 13 to 17, exceeding the increase in Bitcoin ETF during the same period. Despite price fluctuations, Ethereum exchange withdrawals continue to take place, reducing the supply available to the exchange. As institutional participation rebounded, Ethereum traded at approximately US$1,843.76 and ETF assets stabilized at nearly US$9.97 billion. The increase in institutional configuration has driven increased Ethereum ETF inflows, while the exchange withdrawal trend continues to reduce available ETH supply amid market volatility.
Ethereum ETF leads institutional deployment this week
It has been reported that institutional demand for cryptocurrency spot exchange-traded funds has increased. Ethereum products attracted $105.44 million between July 13 and 17, followed by the Bitcoin Spot ETF with inflows of $75.67 million during the same period. The report also covers the configuration of other digital asset products. During the reporting week, the Solana Spot ETF received US$948,200, the XRP Spot ETF increased US$6.78 million, and the HYPE ETF showed an outflow of US$7.26 million. The accompanying ETF chart tracks weekly net inflows, total assets, and the market price of Ethereum. The green bar represents positive weekly inflows of Ethereum investment products, and the red bar reflects the weekly rate at which investors reduce overall ETF exposure.
During the reporting period, the inflow of Ethereum ETF exceeded that of other competing cryptocurrency products. The latest data shows that institutional participation has rebounded again after experiencing uneven weekly activities. Despite overall market fluctuations, capital allocation is still biased towards Ethereum.
ETF assets reflect changes in market participation
ETF charts show that participation has been relatively moderate after product launch. As Ethereum maintains stable market performance, investors gradually increase their allocation. Adoption rates did not accelerate rapidly in the early trading months. By mid-2025, activity has increased significantly, and the Ethereum Spot ETF has recorded strong positive inflows for several consecutive weeks. As Ethereum prices rose, total ETF assets climbed to nearly $30 billion. In the subsequent period, inflows decreased and intermittent weekly outflows occurred. After Ethereum entered a broader market adjustment, total assets fell back. Even so, ETF positions are still higher than post-launch levels. Recent data shows that participation has improved after months of uneven capital flows. In the latest update, the total assets of the ETF are approximately US$9.97 billion, and the trading price of Ethereum is approximately US$1,843.76, with weekly inflows returning to positive values.
Exchange withdrawals continue to support supply trends
Another chart tracks net Ethereum exchange traffic from the centralized trading platform. The green bar represents funds deposited into the exchange from external wallets, and the red bar reflects withdrawals left the exchange as custody or pledge. Net exchange flows were negative during most observation periods. Despite changing market cycles, Ethereum continues to flow out of centralized exchanges, a model that reduces the supply available to exchanges for immediate trading. Exchange withdrawals continued even as Ethereum rose above $4,500. Investors did not continue to transfer positions to exchanges as prices rose. At the same time, there was a temporary surge in inflows during a period of heightened market volatility. The latest data shows that when the market price is US$1,800, the exchange's net traffic is approximately-16,800 ETH. The continued withdrawal occurred simultaneously with the improvement in ETF demand during the same reporting period. Together, the two reflect the continuity of institutional participation and the continuous outflow of Ethereum from centralized exchanges.
