Bitmine Immersion Technologies expands Ethereum reserves: purchased 9,946 ETH, bringing total holdings to 5,787,414 ETH, and increased share repurchase efforts
Bitmine Immersion Technologies (NYSE code: BMNR) According to the company's latest asset reserve report released on July 27, it expanded its Ethereum reserves by purchasing 9,946 ETH, bringing its total holdings to 5,787,414 ETH. The acquisition comes as Ethereum prices continue to rise. At the same time, Bitmine has simultaneously increased its share repurchase efforts, highlighting the company's dual capital allocation strategy around digital assets and shareholder returns.
The latest purchase moves Bitmine towards its stated goal of holding 5% of Ethereum's total supply. Based on an estimated circulation supply of approximately 120.7 million ETH, the company currently controls approximately 4.8% of the circulation of Ethereum, making it the world's largest publicly disclosed Ethereum holder.
Based on a reference price of US$1,948 per ETH, Bitmine's Ethereum reserves are worth more than US$11.2 billion, while the company's total holdings of crypto assets, cash, marketable securities and strategic investments reach US$11.8 billion.

Repurchase efforts increase, Ethereum strategy expands simultaneously
In conjunction with the latest Ethereum purchase, Bitmine accelerated its share repurchase program. The company disclosed that in the past week, it had repurchased 6.1 million shares of common stock under a previously authorized $4 billion repurchase program. Since the beginning of July, the total repurchase volume has reached 11.6 million shares, exceeding the progress reported in previous weekly updates. The move shows that Bitmine is allocating capital to multiple priorities rather than just focusing on expanding asset reserves.
Compared with the previous week, Bitmine's Ethereum purchase speed has also accelerated. On July 20, the company purchased 7,430 ETH, increasing its total holdings to 5,777,468 ETH. In the latest asset reserve report released on July 27, the company added another 9,946 ETH, bringing its total holdings to 5,787,414 ETH.

Bitmine's ETH pledge gains
Bitmine reported that approximately 4,917,189 ETH (approximately 85% of the total) of its asset reserves are currently being pledged through its validator infrastructure and partner network. Based on the current pledge yield, the company expects annualized pledge revenue to be approximately US$254 million. If almost all reserve Ethereum is fully deployed to its pledge platform, the estimated revenue can be close to US$299 million.
Unlike Bitcoin Reserve, which relies mainly on price increases, Ethereum Reserve can receive cyclical agreement rewards through pledges, thereby creating additional sources of revenue while maintaining long-term exposure to assets.
Ethereum's gains push up reserve values
Bitmine's latest disclosure comes as the Ethereum market is strengthening again. As of 12:27 UTC, ETH was trading at US$1,947.16, up 3.13% in the past 24 hours. Daily trading volume climbed 159.57% to US$10.69 billion, and the market value of Ethereum reached US$234.98 billion, reflecting increased investor activity.

Investors focus on concentration and capital strategy
Although Bitmine is increasing its Ethereum holdings almost every week, investors are increasingly concerned about the possible impact of large asset reserves on the structure of the Ethereum market.
Company holdings are now close to one-twentieth of Ethereum's total supply, and if it continues to accumulate, this level may affect pledge participation rates and long-term token availability. At the same time, Bitmine's decision to expand share buybacks while buying ETH suggests that it is adopting a broader capital allocation strategy rather than a purely asset acquisition plan.
As Ethereum trading prices approach recent highs and Bitmine approaches its own 5% holding target, market attention is likely to remain focused on whether the company will continue to maintain a weekly buying pace and how its growing asset pool will affect shareholder value and the entire Ethereum ecosystem.
