Bitmine Immersion Technologies holds 5.79 million Ethereum units, building a US$11.8 billion crypto asset reserve

Bitmine Immersion Technologies disclosed on Monday that it currently holds 5.79 million Ethereum units, accounting for approximately 4.8% of the total global Ethereum supply. The news comes as the company has purchased nearly 10,000 ETH units in the past week, further consolidating its position as the largest Ethereum corporate holder among listed companies, second only to Strategy in terms of the total value of digital assets held.

Significant interests in the Ethereum network

The company said that approximately 4.9 million of its Ethereum holdings (85% of the total) have been pledged through the validator infrastructure. Bitmine plans to deploy all Ethereum assets into its pledge facilities and validators, and once fully launched, it is expected to have annualized pledge rewards of US$299 million.

As of July 26, Bitmine's total assets, including cryptocurrency positions, cash and marketable securities, reached US$11.8 billion. The company's aggressive pledge and accumulation strategy highlights its firm commitment to continue to expand its layout in the Ethereum ecosystem.

Technology Trends and Market Performance

Bitmine Chairman Tom Lee commented that the ETH/BTC ratio has climbed to a three-month high, which he believes shows that Ethereum's momentum relative to Bitcoin is growing. Tom Lee pointed out that Ethereum's strong position over Bitcoin shows the asset's growing momentum, and that the ETH/BTC ratio hit a three-month high further strengthens this trend.

According to the latest data from CoinGecko, Ethereum has risen 2.4% in the past seven days, while the price of Bitcoin has fallen 0.7%. This positive divergence has further promoted Bitmine's recent bulk buying behavior.

Strategy adjusts strategy, Bitmine rises strongly

At the same time, Bitmine's accumulation strategy contrasts sharply with Strategy, which has not increased its Bitcoin reserves in the past few weeks. Strategy disclosed that it raised $544.5 million through stock sales, repurchased $25 million of STRC preferred shares, and increased its U.S. dollar holdings to $3.75 billion while holding a stable hold of 843,775 BTC units.

Bitmine's increased focus on Ethereum pledges provides a significant contrast to Strategy's recent strategic adjustments. In a market environment where ETH and BTC performance fluctuates, major holders appear to be fine-tuning their digital asset management strategies.

For institutional investors, it has become crucial to closely track key indicators such as resistance breakthroughs and the ETH/BTC ratio. By integrating real-time prices, detailed charts, and comprehensive financial tools for multi-currency portfolio management in a single interface, users can use smart price alerts to act quickly, obtain currency-specific news, instantly discover new tokens when they are launched, and grasp key macroeconomic data such as Fed interest rates in real time to stay ahead in a rapidly changing market.

Continuing interest in Ethereum

Bitmine's continued investment in Ethereum and its validator business highlights the increasingly important role of institutions in mainstream blockchain networks. The strategic shift between leading companies such as Bitmine and Strategy could set a new benchmark in the coming months for asset allocation and participation in the blockchain ecosystem.

Bitmine has established itself as one of the world's largest holders of Ethereum, pledging most of its assets to capture potential benefits from network operations.
