ETH The Ethereum Foundation appoints pcaversaccio to its board of directors to strengthen security and privacy direction
The Ethereum Foundation announced that long-term contributor pcaversaccio has officially joined its four-member board of directors. The security researcher, known for his advocacy of privacy and developer tools, will join Vitalik Buterin and other board members in a one-year volunteer position.
On July 29, the Ethereum Foundation officially announced the appointment. pcaversaccio is the co-founder of SEAL 911, a member of the Silviculture Society, and a privacy and security supremacy who has always been committed to defending the core values of Ethereum.
Focusing on security and privacy, the Ethereum Foundation expands its layout
The Ethereum Foundation chose Pascal Caversaccio (network nickname pcaversaccio) because of his outstanding contributions in the field of blockchain security and protocol development. He co-founded SEAL 911, a program that helps projects respond to security incidents and vulnerabilities.
His other contributions include CreateX, the smart contract deployment framework, and snekmate, a security library for Vyper developers. In addition, he maintains an Ethereum security resource library covering historical smart contract attacks and recovery methods.
The Ethereum Foundation stated that pcaversaccio has also contributed through the Silviculture Society. The advisory group focuses on Ethereum's core values, including open source development, censorship resistance, privacy and security.
pcaversaccio has written documents such as the "Ethereum Cypherpunk Manifesto" to discuss privacy and self-sovereignty. His work is dedicated to strengthening privacy protections in decentralized systems.
The Ethereum Foundation Board introduces privacy orientation
The Ethereum Foundation Board currently consists of four members: Vitalik Buterin, Aya Miyaguchi, Patrick Storchenegger and pcaversaccio. This appointment comes at a time of internal adjustment within the organization.
Recently, the Ethereum Foundation has streamlined its staff and formed a more focused protocol department. At the same time, the foundation adjusted its strategic direction around Ethereum's core development priorities.
The addition of this expert in the field of security will further enhance the weight of smart contract security and privacy discussions. The Ethereum Foundation continues to manage protocol development while addressing broader regulatory and ecosystem challenges.
