Crossmint launches stablecoin wallet portal in more than 160 countries

Single integration, global coverage

Crossmint has launched a stablecoin wallet recharge channel covering more than 160 countries, allowing fintech companies to complete wallet funds injection without requiring users to leave the app.

With one integration, this product allows financial technology companies to recharge wallets in more than 160 countries with the help of Apple Pay, Google Pay or bank cards, and the entire process is always completed within the application. Developers can embed Crossmint components or build interfaceless experiences directly based on APIs.

This release aims to address long-standing pain points in the stablecoin access process: low acceptance rates, fragmented user experience, and lengthy processes, resulting in the loss of new users when they first attempt to recharge their accounts. Authentication adopts a risk-based approach and is adjusted according to the needs of each market, allowing users to recharge within one session.

Compliance infrastructure covering the EU and wider region

The compliance structure behind this product relies on the authorization Crossmint received earlier this year. The company has obtained payment institution qualifications granted by the Bank of Spain under PSD2 and obtained MiCA Level II authorization from the Spanish National Securities Market Commission (CNMV), thereby fully authorized to operate as a crypto asset service provider throughout the EU. CNMV's full CASP registration allows it to operate in all 27 EU member states.

Outside the European Economic Area, recharge channels provide support through Crossmint entities holding relevant local authorizations or in collaboration with licensed local partners. KYC (Know Your Customer), sanctions and anti-money laundering screening, wallet screening, and travel rule obligations are all handled directly by Crossmint. In bank card transactions, the company is also responsible for dispute resolution and assumes the responsibility of refund orders.

This makes Crossmint the only regulated counterparty in the entire flow of funds, rather than a patchwork of multiple suppliers. The recharge channel is part of its broader platform, which also covers embedded wallets, stablecoin arrangements, withdrawal channels and bank card services. Crossmint said it serves more than 40,000 companies and developers, with customers including MoneyGram, Wirex and Tala.
