BTC Bitcoin comes under pressure after breaching $87,000, escalating situation in the Middle East raises market concerns
Bitcoin has been on a strong rally since August, reaching a stage high at the beginning of this month by breaching the $87,000 mark. However, this rally could be at serious risk as tensions in the Middle East escalate again.
Trump rejects Iran's peace proposal, threatens to resume bombing after midterm elections
According to the Wall Street Journal, US President Donald Trump has rejected Iran's latest peace proposal and warned that the United States will resume bombing operations against Iran after the November midterm elections. The newspaper quoted sources familiar with the matter as saying that Trump not only rejected Iran's seven-day ceasefire agreement, but also revealed to his close people that he expected to resume military strikes after the midterm elections.
This is in sharp contrast to his stance a few weeks ago. At the time, he claimed that the war would end immediately after the election because the other side was "unable to support it."
Iran proposed the diplomatic initiative at the United Nations General Assembly in New York and said the proposal had been forwarded to the United States through the Qatar mediator. Iran said the move could reopen the Strait of Hormuz within seven days and end attacks in the region. In addition, Iran said it had re-engaged with Saudi Arabia officials on the strategic waterway, highlighting the huge concerns raised by the seven-month conflict that has disrupted oil supplies and hit the global economy.

地缘政治风险再度施压比特币价格
