Robinhood Chain TVL surpasses Polygon, reshaping the DeFi landscape in 2026
Robinhood Chain (@RobinhoodCrypto) has surpassed Polygon (@0xPolygon) in total locked value (TVL), marking a significant change in the decentralized finance (DeFi) field in 2026. According to DefiLlama data, Robinhood Chain's current TVL is US$801.81 million, slightly higher than Polygon's US$796.5 million, making it firmly one of the top ten most mobile DeFi networks in the world.
This milestone is the latest chapter in Robinhood Chain's fast-growing story, which began with its official launch on July 1, 2026 on its public main website. The chain is built based on the Arbitrum Orbit technology stack and unveiled as an Ethereum Layer 2 solution (Layer 2). It comes with 95 tokenized stocks that support round-the-clock trading, a DeFi protocol suite that goes online on the first day, and directly connects to Robinhood wallets in 120 countries.
stablecoins become core drivers of growth
Although Robinhood Chain initially focused on tokenized real-world assets (RWAs) as its main promotion point, the surge in TVL is mainly driven by another force. Since its launch, overall TVL has grown at approximately seven times faster than tokenized RWAs. Currently, the market value of stablecoins on the network is close to US$640 million, an increase of 22% in August; among them, USDe has soared nearly 50%, reaching a valuation of US$286 million.
The network's ecosystem includes initial partners such as Uniswap, which have launched a dedicated automated market maker (AMM) as the core public mobility protocol. At the same time, partnerships with Alchemy, BitGo and Chainlink have also brought fast block generation times to the chain, as well as ready-made DeFi capabilities, including lending services.
A critical step towards the mainstream
The significance of this launch is that it may be a step for blockchain to truly enter the mainstream market. Prior to this, DeFi apps were mainly aimed at users who were willing to try using a self-managed wallet or crypto exchange. Today, Robinhood is making the experience of DeFi apps as simple and convenient as traditional stocks and derivatives trading. As the chain overtakes Polygon on TVL, the broader DeFi rankings for 2026 are rapidly being redrawn.
