World Liberty Financial opens real-time voting on pledge rewards

World Liberty Financial (@worldlibertyfi) has submitted its governance pledge plan to the community for voting. Current preliminary results show that the opinions of $WLFI holders are almost equally divided. As of the time of writing, the support vote rate is 48.8%, and the opposition vote rate is 47.75%. Voting will close on September 28.

Under the proposed scheme, participants will need to pledge the unlocked $WLFI into the unmanaged chain agreement for a lock-up period of at least 180 days. To remain eligible for the award, participants must vote directly on the ecosystem governance proposal every 90 days. This minimum activity requirement is designed to ensure that pledge rewards flow only to truly active holders, rather than passive holders.

Floating rewards, no fixed interest rate

Pay no fixed interest rate. Instead, incentive funds come from World Liberty Financial vaults and fees generated through World Liberty Markets. World Liberty Financial will publish the designated governance pledge reward addresses so that the community can independently monitor the allocation along the chain, the fortnightly recharge, the total amount issued, and the remaining balance.

As a decentralized finance (DeFi) and digital asset platform, World Liberty Financial released the governance proposal on September 14. If approved, it plans to officially launch the project on October 1, 2026. In addition, World Liberty Financial commits to submitting at least one governance vote every calendar quarter to ensure the feasibility of participation requirements.

The vote comes at a time when $WLFI governance comes under broader scrutiny. Voting power is highly concentrated in the hands of a few large holders. In a previous proposal, the largest single wallet accounted for nearly 13% of voting power, while the top four wallets controlled about 40% of the total voting power. The tight results of the latest vote may reflect the growing resistance of small holders to this concentration of power.

The final results are still full of uncertainty. Since voting will last until September 28, and the gap in community support is only 10 percentage points, either party may still win the final result.
