Decibel's total transaction volume exceeded US$7 billion, and third-party applications contributed more than US$1 billion.
Aptos Foundation announced on the X platform that the total transaction volume of the decentralized exchange Decibel has exceeded the US$7 billion mark. Of that, more than $1 billion in transaction volume came from third-party applications accessed through its "Builder Codes" program.
Decibel is a decentralized exchange (DEX) built on the Aptos blockchain that focuses on spot and perpetual contract trading. A decentralized exchange is a trading platform running on a blockchain that allows users to trade digital assets without holding funds by a central intermediary. Aptos is a Layer 1 blockchain originally incubated by Meta to achieve high throughput and low latency transaction processing.
Unified order book, multiple entries
"Builder Codes" is a mechanism launched by Decibel that aims to allow external applications, wallets, trading interfaces, robots, etc. to directly access its shared order book without having to build your own exchange from scratch. Each application that integrates this feature will receive a corresponding share based on the transaction volume it generates.
The result of this model is a unified liquidity pool accessed through multiple front-ends, rather than the traditional model where each new trading application creates an independent and thinly liquid fragmented market structure. Regardless of which application the order is routed through, all orders placed through Decibel are settled on the Aptos chain. Each transaction also destroys a small amount of APT (Aptos 'native token), which means that higher trading activity will directly reduce the circulation supply of the token over time.
The US$1 billion transaction volume reached through "Builder Codes" accounted for approximately 14% of Decibel's total transaction volume. This data shows that third-party distribution channels have become substantial contributors rather than just a paper function.
Continued accumulation in the first quarter
Decibel also shared the latest weekly data from its reward program. During week 29 (first quarter), the platform distributed 486,543 AMP points to 1,542 independent wallets. Among them, 14,131 AMP points were obtained through the recommendation mechanism. The AMP points system is designed to reward users for trading activity and participation on the platform.
This transaction volume milestone came shortly after BitGo announced a wallet connection with Decibel. This allows institutional customers to access the exchange directly from their existing self-managed wallets without having to change their existing approval workflow.
