Geneva, Switzerland, August 28, 2026-TRON DAO participated in a training forum organized by the Digital Currency Governance Working Group (DCGG) and the National Public Ministry Council of Brazil (CNMP) in Brasilia, Brazil, from August 26 to 27, 2026. TRON DAO is a decentralized, autonomous organization governed by a community that is committed to accelerating the decentralization process of the Internet through blockchain technology and decentralized applications (dApps).
The theme of this forum is "Cryptographic Assets: From Tracking to Recovery-Cooperation in Asset Recovery and Custody." More than 100 senior representatives from Brazil's regulatory, law enforcement, prosecutorial and judicial agencies attended the meeting, including representatives from the Central Bank of Brazil, the Public Prosecutor's Office across the country, the Federal Taxation Service and the National Judicial Council. Participants held in-depth discussions around digital crime, cryptographic asset recovery, stablecoins, new types of illegal activities, and prevention, investigation and risk analysis methods in digital operations.
TRON DAO is organized by community spokesperson Sam Elfarra and TRON General Counsel John O. Representative Hurston attended. In the sub-forum, they discussed the role of blockchain infrastructure, transaction transparency and cross-industry cooperation in digital asset investigation and recovery.
Elfarra participated in a sub-forum titled "Blockchain Ecosystem", introduced how the TRON blockchain works, and discussed topics such as transaction transparency, stablecoins, and blockchain traceability. The forum explores how transparency in public blockchain networks can help law enforcement agencies track transactions and gain a clearer understanding of the flow of digital assets. Elfarra also highlighted industry-led initiatives such as the T3 Financial Crimes Investigation Unit (T3 FCU) and their important role in identifying and combating illegal activities involving digital assets.
Hurston spoke at a panel discussion on "Recovering crypto assets through cross-industry cooperation: Freezing, seizing and returning funds" moderated by Lorena Bittencourt, public prosecutor of the Prosecutor's Office of the State of Goiás and associate member of the CNMP. Other guests included Deborah Di Lullo, Tether Blockchain Investigator and Law Enforcement Liaison Officer; Lister Caldas Filho, Public Prosecutor of the State Prosecutor's Office of São Paulo; and Fabiano Gonçalves Cossermelli Oliveira, Public Prosecutor of the State Prosecutor's Office of Rio de Janeiro. Discussions focused on how public agencies, law enforcement and the private sector could coordinate to trace, freeze, seize and recover digital assets, while strengthening investigative processes and risk control measures.
The forum marked TRON DAO's first collaboration with CNMP and helped it establish a direct institutional relationship with Brazilian authorities. TRON was the only blockchain project to be featured at the event, which enabled TRON to introduce knowledge of blockchain infrastructure from a technical perspective to law enforcement and prosecution agencies.
Elfarra said: "Such exchanges help us establish direct and constructive partnerships with public institutions and also give authorities a deeper understanding of how blockchain technology actually works. As Brazil gradually improves its digital asset management framework, TRON looks forward to sharing technical expertise and supporting well-understood regulatory policies based on how technology actually works."
The second day of the forum was dedicated to training sessions for law enforcement and prosecution agencies, providing participants with the opportunity to study investigative practices of digital asset activities and respond to emerging forms of digital crime.
As Brazil continues to advance the development of policies related to digital assets, TRON DAO will continue to support fact-based policy development by strengthening interactions with public institutions and engaging in constructive dialogue on safe and transparent ways to manage digital assets.
