Strive, Inc. Increased holdings of 469 bitcoins, bringing total positions to 25,000 BTC
Strike, Inc. Recently purchased 469 bitcoins, bringing the total number of bitcoins it holds to 25,000. The company disclosed the purchase in regulatory filings, marking Strive's further inclusion in the ranks of companies using Bitcoin as a balance sheet asset.
As a company that views Bitcoin as a corporate treasury asset, Strive operates in a similar way to the way other companies use cash or bonds as reserves. This latest purchase is part of its huge position formed after multiple rounds of accumulation.
Specific transaction details and cost analysis
According to Strive's Form 8-K file filed on September 14, the company purchased 469 bitcoins between September 8 and September 11, 2026. Bitcoin (BTC) is currently the largest cryptocurrency by market capitalisation.
Data shows that the average payment price per Bitcoin for Strive is approximately US$77,954, which includes related fees and expenses. According to Crypto.news, the total cost of the purchase was approximately US$36.6 million, but this approximate figure is not directly stated in official documents.
For comparison, at the time of the report's release, Bitcoin was trading at close to US$78,779, up approximately 1.9% from the previous trading day. Strive's average bid price was slightly lower than the market level at the time.
Positions break through integer barrier
After this purchase, as of September 11, 2026, Strive's Bitcoin holdings reached a neat 25,000. It needs to be clear that 25,000 are the total open positions, and the newly purchased 469 are the new part of them. Previously, as of September 4, its positions were 24,531, the difference between the two corresponds to the purchase of 469.
The document also lists the status of other assets related to the purchase:
- Cash and cash equivalents: It was US$204.2 million as of September 11, an increase from US$202.6 million a week ago.
- Strategic Investments: Strive also holds 505,000 shares of Strategy's STRC preferred shares, valued at US$49.8 million as of September 11.
Changes in the equity structure
The number of the company's equity has also changed accordingly:
- Class A common shares outstanding increased by 34,206 shares, bringing the total to 85,730,853 shares.
- Class B shares remained unchanged at 9,237,911 shares.
- Preferred SATA shares outstanding increased by 402,541 shares to total 10,397,966 shares.
According to unconfirmed reports, Crypto.news pointed out that the purchase was funded through SATA earnings, rather than through the sale of common stock. However, the filing document did not clearly state the source of funding, and the number of Class A shares still increased during this period, so these two issues need to be viewed separately. Strive reported a fully diluted total of 98,139,091 shares, a figure that deliberately excludes an additional 26,596,010 shares associated with traditional warrants based on company definition.
Growth Rate Assessment
The 469 bitcoins purchased this time account for approximately 1.88% of the final total of 25,000. In layman's terms, this new purchase accounts for less than one-fifty of Strive's current total holdings.
This purchase increased the position by approximately 1.91% when measured based on the previous balance. The figure is calculated by dividing 469 by the implied prior-period balance of 24,531 pieces, assuming that the reported data is accurate and this purchase is the only factor of change.
These two perspectives are different: the proportion based on the final total is a retrospective look at how much new shares account for; while the growth rate based on the previous balance is a forward-looking look at the speed of reserve expansion. Just as Strive made massive purchases with 1,375 bitcoins during a period of rising dividend costs, other companies are also increasing their bitcoin holdings as cost structures adjust.
Market Significance
For ordinary crypto investors, the conclusion is simple: Another listed company is viewing Bitcoin as a long-term reserve asset, despite broader market sentiment being in the 57-point "greedy" range of the Fear & Greed index. Such corporate purchases do not guarantee price movements, but they add a stable and open source of demand.
