Sanitation clarified that these large addresses do not necessarily represent different individual investors or institutions. Exchanges, custodians, and other entities often control multiple wallets, and a single user may also spread his XRP holdings across multiple addresses. Therefore, the key indicator is the growth in the number of large addresses, rather than the number of new "millionaire" holders.
After the rebound: Price correction, giant whale is still present
After the price rebound, XRP gave up some of its gains in the market correction. However, Sand's analysis shows that despite the decline in prices, the number of addresses holding at least 1 million XRPs remains above 2,100.
The persistence of this large wallet after correction suggests that although the price of XRP has fallen back, the increase in the number of major holders has not completely reversed. This divergence between price movements and the number of large addresses may mean that these significant positions did not aggressively sell their positions during the correction, although this data alone cannot confirm a clear cumulative trend.
Institutional support and legal clarity
Chain trends are consistent with broader institutional interest in XRP. U.S. -based exchange-traded products (ETP) provide investors with new access to XRP and continue to attract capital inflows even as funds flow out of Bitcoin funds.
Evernorth, a technology company backed by Ripple, has accumulated approximately 473 million XRPs for its treasury ahead of its planned initial public offering, further strengthening the link between XRPs and traditional financial markets.
As the main developer of XRP, Ripple Labs played a key role in helping the token gain legal clarity in the United States. Compared to other digital currencies operating in the United States, XRP's current legal status provides significant advantages to institutional and retail investors, especially as the country's regulatory debate continues.
