ZEC soared 23% after the Federal Reserve raised interest rates, governance vote triggered new impetu

Zcash rebounded strongly after the Federal Reserve raised interest rates, with an increase of 23%, surpassing Bitcoin and Solana.

Zcash (ZEC) has performed strongly recently. Its price once climbed to around US$1,369, with an increase of as much as 23%, significantly outperforming Bitcoin and Solana, which only rose less than 1%. This round of market starts immediately after the Federal Reserve's latest 25-basis point decision to raise interest rates. At the same time, high participation in community governance has provided buyers with a new catalyst, with nearly 2.4 million ZECs participating in the latest community voting, and progress in the field of privacy protection may also support future market demand.

Currently, US$1,300 remains the key resistance level, while US$800 and US$500 constitute the main support areas.

Governance vote injects new impetus into ZEC's rise

Zcash's NU7 governance proposal received overwhelming support from holders. In this vote, nearly 2.4 million ZECs participated, far exceeding the minimum participation threshold of one million ZECs. About 99.9% of voters supported shortening block times, a proposal that aims to reduce block intervals from 75 seconds to 25 seconds. Faster block generation speeds are expected to improve transaction confirmation efficiency across the network.

In addition, the voting results also protected Zcash's bitcoin-like halving mechanism. About 98.9% of voters support maintaining the current reward structure, and mining rewards will continue to gradually decrease according to the predetermined plan. Another 99.3% of participants supported deploying the NU7 upgrade as soon as possible. Although developers still need to test and implement approved features, if there are still missing features as of September 30, they may be excluded from this upgrade.

The announcement of the governance results coincides with an overall rebound in the crypto market. The Federal Reserve raised interest rates by 25 basis points, and the new target range is now 3.75% to 4%. Jeff Ko, chief analyst at ViaBTC, said that the interest rate hike has been basically absorbed by the market and the Fed has avoided sending aggressive tightening signals. The Fed's median forecast points to a policy rate of 4.1%.

Privacy expansion may start Zcash's next stage of growth

Zcash welcomes another potential catalyst: integration with Ledger. Zcash Labs has received financial support to support shielded pools on Ledger hardware wallets. This development helps improve the security for hardware wallet users to store private ZECs. The shielded pool allows users to protect transaction details during network activity. Wider hardware support will also improve accessibility for privacy-conscious user groups.

However, after the latest wave of surges, ZEC still faces technical resistance. Cryptocurrency analyst Crypto Patel pointed out that there was a bearish momentum divergence around $1,300. Patel identified $800 as the initial support level for a deep correction and set the main demand area around $500. If ZEC continues to stand firm above $1,300, the bearish structure will be broken. ZEC's recent rebound also briefly caused its market value to exceed the US$23 billion mark.

CoinGecko attributed this trend to governance results and halving mechanisms. However, a NU7 vote does not amount to an immediate network upgrade, and developers must complete testing before deploying approved changes. This distinction is crucial for traders chasing recent momentum.

治理批准可以提振信心,但执行落地仍需时间。目前,Zcash 结合了隐私、治理和货币政策等多重重大叙事主题。
