BTC U.S. Bitcoin reserve position establishes its long-term strategic value
As discussions on the role of cryptocurrencies in global finance continue to deepen, U.S. Bitcoin holdings have become the focus. Alexandre Laizet, CEO of Capital B, Europe's largest bitcoin vault manager, said the U.S. government views bitcoin as a unique asset among its reserve assets that it will never sell. This position was highlighted at the BTC Prague conference in Prague, where Laizet emphasized that Washington's attitude was far-reaching.
Correlation between government stance and institutional adoption
Laizet links this government stance to the growing acceptance of Bitcoin by major financial institutions and large companies, viewing it as a sign of Bitcoin's strengthened status as a scarce, non-sovereign store of value. He pointed out: "The U.S. government has made it clear that Bitcoin is the only asset it will not sell, and this statement is extremely important."
He believes that this view is affecting Capital B's own treasury strategy, which uses policy guidance to guide the strategy of acquiring and holding Bitcoin indefinitely. Laizet explained that the company will "obtain as many bitcoins as possible and hold them indefinitely." He noted that more and more global companies are trying to integrate Bitcoin into their financial strategies, moving from pure speculation to long-term substantive adoption.
