Mainstream altcoins have risen one after another

Other major cryptocurrencies have also shown strong upward momentum. Ethereum rose more than 5% on the day, and its trading price exceeded $2,700. According to CoinGecko, Solana rose more than 7% to trade above $116;XRP rose nearly 8% to $1.49.

Analysts review recent momentum

Alex Thorn, director of global research at Galaxy Digital, highlighted Bitcoin's technical progress. He pointed out in a post on Monday that Bitcoin closed this week for the first time for more than four consecutive weeks and stayed above its 50-week moving average. He observes that historically this level often marks the passing of bear market lows. In the past 35 days, Bitcoin has gained a cumulative 29%.

Thorn emphasized that Bitcoin was able to trade above the 50-week moving average after 45 weeks of consolidation, indicating that the bear market low may have passed, as the cryptocurrency achieved a 29% gain in more than a month.

Bitcoin hit a recent low of US$74,977 on September 15, and has since recovered about 13%. However, its decline is still about 3% this year and is down about 33% from the all-time high of $126,080 set in October 2025.

U.S. spot bitcoin exchange-traded funds (ETFs) recorded a net inflow of $433 million last week, reversing a previous trend of net outflows. This inflow brought the cumulative capital flow for the week back to positive value, reaching $6.2 million.
