BTC Strategy expands the size of its STRC repurchase program to US$2 billion, and Bitcoin positions continue to grow.
According to the company's own disclosure, Strategy has doubled the size of its STRC repurchase program to US$2 billion. At the same time, its Bitcoin inventory continues to increase. Although these two developments are occurring simultaneously, existing public disclosures do not establish a financial or causal link between the two.

Strategy expands STRC repurchase program to US$2 billion
Strategy announced that it will increase its STRC repurchase program to US$2 billion, doubling previous authorizations. STRC is a senior note issued by Strategy, and the repurchase involves these securities, not the company's Bitcoin holdings.
This figure describes the amount of repurchase authorization, not the amount of money that has been spent. In the materials reviewed, the project's start date, expiration date or the total amount of repurchases implemented were not disclosed, so this amount should be regarded as a ceiling rather than a completed expenditure.
This is not the first time the company has managed itself on both sides of its balance sheet. Previously, Strategy sold 6,916 bitcoins during the summer and subsequently bought back 4,603 more.
Bitcoin inventories grow as repurchases increase
Strategy's Bitcoin inventory is reportedly growing, continuing the company's much-watched accumulation strategy. However, since the total number of positions, acquisitions, cost basis or reporting date were not provided, although the direction of change can be confirmed, its specific magnitude is not yet clear.
Repurchase and inventory growth should be distinguished. Bitcoin holdings, dollar spending on acquisitions and market valuations of these coins are three independent indicators and are not quantified in current disclosures.
In addition to Strategy, bitcoin accumulation activities at the enterprise level are still active. Other corporate treasuries also continue to increase their positions, from Capital B's purchase to Boyaa Interactive's acquisition of 205 bitcoins, highlighting continued corporate demand.
Details needed to evaluate the Strategy's repurchase and inventory plan
To assess the impact of repurchase, details that are not yet publicly available are needed: source of funding, project duration, and conditions under which repurchase occurs. Without these terms, authorizations cannot be matched to actual cash commitments.
Any claim that buybacks will affect Strategy's ability to obtain Bitcoin needs to be supported by evidence of financing and cash flow. Current materials do not establish a link that repurchase programs fund, reduce or otherwise affect Bitcoin purchases.
Equally missing are investor reactions, price data and clear timetables, so it is impossible to attribute market effects to any of these developments at this stage. Typically, companies that specifically raise funds to expand their Bitcoin inventories disclose their financing mechanisms, and if Strategy could provide the same level of transparency, it would help a more comprehensive assessment.
At the network level, Bitcoin's monetary attributes are not affected by any single treasury activity: issuance continues to follow a fixed schedule set by difficulty adjustments and halving cycles, independent of corporate accumulation or repurchase ceilings.
