BTC Strive, Inc. Increase in Bitcoin, the company's total treasury reaches 25,000 BTC
According to Strive, Inc. A Form 8-K report filed with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) on September 14 showed that the company purchased 469 bitcoins between September 8 and September 11 at an average price of approximately $77,954 each. The acquisition increased the total number of bitcoins held by the company to 25,000. Based on the average price stated, and after adding fees and expenses, the total value of the purchase is approximately US$36.6 million.
The Dallas, Texas-based asset management and structured finance company co-founded by Vivek Ramaswamy has used Bitcoin as a benchmark for its capital deployment.
Acquisition details
Under item 8.01 of the report, the Nasdaq-listed company (ticker: ASST) stated that as of September 4, its Bitcoin holdings were 24,531; as of September 11, this number increased to 25,000, a net increase of 469. At the same time, the company also updated its data on cash and cash equivalents, which amounted to approximately $204.2 million as of September 11.
Strive is a Nevada registered company headquartered in Dallas, Texas. Disclosure of its Bitcoin position through regular SEC filings marks the increasing weight of the asset on the company's balance sheet. Form 8-K is the current report the company uses to disclose significant events between quarterly reports, and is signed by CEO Matthew Cole.
Bitcoin as treasury benchmark
