BTC Hyperscale Data Company holds Bitcoin and cash reserves
Hyperscale Data (NYSE: GPUS), an artificial intelligence data center company that anchors Bitcoin, announced on Monday that as of September 27, it held 219.0652 bitcoins worth approximately $18.5 million, and approximately $37.5 million in cash and restricted cash. According to the company's announcement, these assets totaled approximately US$56 million, equivalent to approximately 153% of the market value of its common stock (as of September 28).
The disclosure that the value of the balance sheet exceeds the market value of the stock
means the Las Vegas-based company holds more bitcoin and cash than the stock market's valuation of its overall business. Hyperscale Data priced Bitcoin at a closing price of US$84,458 per Bitcoin on September 27.
Milton "Todd" Ault III, executive chairman of, said the position demonstrated the company's ability to continue to execute plans while launching its flagship data center. "We firmly believe that $56 million in Bitcoin, cash and restricted cash puts the company in a strong financial position to continue to fulfill its commitments to customers and drive the initial launch phase." he said. Ott added that as the company approaches free cash flow generation, the artificial intelligence data center in Michigan remains a priority for the company.
