XRP has shown signs of significantly increasing institutional engagement, with the average transaction size of its XRP ledger now reaching US$85,290. Market analyst Xaif Crypto pointed out that this number ranks first among the top ten digital assets, far exceeding Bitcoin, which has an average transaction size of US$10,600. Ethereum followed closely, averaging about $2,930 per transaction.
Large-value transactions highlight institutional activity
The average transaction size represents the value transferred by each transaction on the chain, which is different from the original transaction volume. When such numbers climb to such high levels, they usually point to active participation by asset managers, exchanges, payment service providers, custodians, large over-the-counter trading platforms and corporate finance departments. In practice, these institutions transfer large amounts of funds for purposes such as settlement, liquidity management, portfolio rebalancing and long-term asset custody. The jump in the value of each transfer strengthens the impression that institutional participants are increasingly active in XRP ledgers.
It is worth noting that a higher average transaction size does not mean that XRP handles more transactions than Bitcoin or Ethereum. Instead, it reflects a higher value settled per payment, a feature that usually occurs during periods of financial flows when corporate applications are significant and are related to real-world applications.
XRP's record transaction values and continued institutional capital flows highlight the shift towards large-scale capital transfers on the books, further distinguishing the XRP network from speculative retail transactions.
This trend coincides with a period of accelerating momentum among institutional participants around XRP.
Evernorth Strategy Promotes XRP Inventory Reserves
Evernorth Holdings has filed Amendment No. 5 to its S-4 registration statement with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission, taking a step towards completing its SPAC merger with Armada Acquisition Corp. II. If the merger is successful, the combined entity plans to be listed on NASDAQ under the ticker symbol XRPN. Board documents disclose details of Evernorth's executive compensation plan: Chief Legal Officer Jessica Jonas will receive a base salary of $400,000, a 50% performance target bonus and $4.5 million in restricted stock units. Chief Commercial Officer Sagar Shah and Chief Operating Officer Megumi Nakamura received a basic salary of $300,000, a 50% performance target bonus and a restricted stock unit of $2.8 million. The compensation structure ties leadership incentives to long-term equity, consistent with Evernorth's strategy of accumulating large XRP reserves and becoming a top listed XRP reserve company.
Evernorth follows Bitcoin Reserve's strategy and plans to hold XRP as a strategic balance sheet asset rather than actively trading it. This approach aims to reduce the liquidity supply and provide mainstream investors with indirect exposure to XRP through the open market.
The surge in online data and ETF capital flows highlights growth in demand
On-chain data further confirms the needs of institutions. Binance recently recorded the highest historical number of outflows on the XRP exchange. Since its launch, the U.S. spot XRP ETF has attracted more than $1.5 billion in net inflows. Historically, massive exchange outflows suggest that investors are storing digital assets in private wallets rather than leaving them on trading platforms, tightening overall supply.
These developments all point to a similar dynamic: growing trading sizes, ETF investments, exchange outflows, and Evernorth's reserve accumulation suggest that institutions are building larger XRP positions and moving towards long-term holding.
Connecting traditional finance and the digital economy
As the focus shifts to on-chain indicators and regulatory progress, this trend highlights the maturity of real-world financial flow markets on the XRP ledger. The convergence of large-scale capital transfers, strategic corporate reserve initiatives, ETF inflows, and real-world asset consolidation is shaping XRP into a core network connecting traditional finance and the emerging crypto economy.
