Swedish technology company H100 Group disclosed a pre-tax deficit of 98.2 million Swedish kronor in the second quarter of 2026. The company attributed most of the losses to accounting adjustments triggered by fluctuations in the cryptocurrency market. During this period, its digital asset holdings increased significantly to 3,506.4 bitcoins through a strategic acquisition completed in August.
Cryptocurrency valuation adjustment affects second quarter results
The Swedish company recorded an operating deficit of SEK 88.7 million between April and June. This is significantly worse than the deficit of 11.5 million Swedish kroner reported in the same period last year. It is worth noting that of this, SEK 83.5 million was recorded in non-cash accounting.
In addition, H100 Group disclosed a pre-tax deficit of 98.2 million Swedish kronor for the quarter. Among them, accounting adjustments that do not involve actual cash flow totaled SEK 93.3 million. The main driver was impairment charges related to Bitcoin holdings, as digital asset valuations continued to contract throughout the three-month period.
Despite these challenges, the company's operating income remained stable at SEK 3 million during the quarter. Total sales were 2.9 million Swedish kroner, slightly below the 3 million Swedish kroner recorded last year. Operating cash flow improved, narrowing to negative SEK 5.1 million from negative SEK 14.9 million in the same period last year.
Half-year deficit reached SEK 253.6 million
Between January and June, the H100 Group recorded a pre-tax deficit of SEK 253.6 million. This figure is in sharp contrast to the deficit of 26.5 million Swedish kroner recorded in the same period in 2025. Non-cash accounting items accounted for 241.8 million Swedish kronor of this year's loss.
The company's semi-annual operating deficit widened to SEK 234.6 million. Depreciation expenses, amortization expenses, foreign exchange fluctuations and asset impairment totaled SEK 222.5 million. These costs have increased significantly since the company shifted to a bitcoin-centered financial strategy in 2025.
Nevertheless, operating income grew moderately year-on-year, from SEK 5.8 million to SEK 6.1 million. Total sales remained stable at SEK 5.8 million for both periods. At the end of June, the company held SEK 18.1 million in available cash and maintained a healthy equity ratio of 86%.
Digital asset holdings climb to 3,506 bitcoins
Before executing a major corporate transaction, H100 's cryptocurrency position as of the end of June was 1,051.03 bitcoins. The company completed the acquisition of NSD AS and related assets on August 10. This strategic move added an additional 2,455.37 bitcoins, bringing the total holdings to 3,506.4 bitcoins.
The deal makes H100 one of the largest publicly traded companies in Europe to hold Bitcoin as a financial asset. The company issued approximately 790.5 million new shares to finance the deal. The shares were priced at 1.86 SEK per share, establishing a total transaction value of close to 1.47 billion SEK.
The company is now combining its cryptocurrency strategy with existing businesses in the health technology and financial technology sectors. Its health platform provides digital solutions for fitness professionals and lifestyle coaches. In addition, the H100 maintains the technical infrastructure that supports trading platforms and derivatives markets.
The company's development direction evolves after financial optimization
H100 launched a Bitcoin financial strategy in June 2025 to supplement its established health technology division. This strategic shift fundamentally changed the organization's financial structure and asset composition. Bitcoin has now become the main benchmark for assessing capital allocation opportunities.
Leadership changes followed the August acquisition. Eirik Grøttum replaced Johannes Wiik as CEO on August 11. Meanwhile, Peter C. Warren joined as chief investment officer on August 12.
The company's future strategy includes maintaining Bitcoin reserves while conducting trading activities, capital allocation plans, technology development and potential M & A opportunities. Management emphasized that growth in Bitcoin holdings per share should be the primary goal. Recent quarterly disclosures did not include specific financial forecasts.
