Enterprise blockchain analysis ushers in a new breakthrough: SQD provides Google Cloud with a trusted data source
Enterprise blockchain analysis has long been plagued by incomplete or difficult to verify data. Blockchain data platform SQD (formerly Subsquid) announced on August 25 that it will address this issue by providing data support for Google Cloud's analytical tools.
SQD's contribution
Through its enterprise division SQD360, SQD now provides indexing and data pipelines for Google Cloud's blockchain analytics, ensuring that data remains accurate, complete and updated in real time on Google's fully managed serverless data platform BigQuery (built-in machine learning capabilities). Before providing data services, SQD360 performs six cryptographic verifications on each block, including multi-source verification, transaction root and status root verification. As a result, analysts look for data that can be proved correct, rather than copies that they try to copy.
This design is designed to place verified data directly into the existing working environment of analysts, developers, and enterprises, rather than requiring them to run their own indexers or trust third-party on-chain replicas. SQD positions itself as a reliable backbone of enterprise-level blockchain data, while its partnership with Google Cloud presents its verification dataset directly to analysts, developers and companies already working within the cloud platform ecosystem.
Why verification is important
"Blockchain data should be complete, accurate, provable, and most importantly, it should be open and accessible." Wanja Oberhof, CEO of SQD, said,"Bringing this standard to the Google Cloud Web3 blockchain analytics platform is an important step towards making blockchain analytics available on an enterprise-scale."
Oberhof described the collaboration as "a strong signal that enterprise-level blockchain data is ready" and positioned it as the foundation on which a broader ecosystem can be built. For Google Cloud, this collaboration adds a cryptographically verified blockchain data source instead of the original node output. At the same time, the cooperation has also expanded SQD's coverage on cloud platforms widely used by enterprises around the world.
The cornerstone rather than the end
SQD said there are more plans in the future, including expanding functions, adding more chains and introducing intelligent enhanced features. The move reflects the growing demand for on-chain analytics by companies, regulators and investigators-who now view verified blockchain data as core input rather than niche datasets. The collaboration was reached through Subsquid's corporate arm and established SQD as an infrastructure that ensures that Google Cloud's blockchain datasets remain accurate and readily available for query.
