Japanese-listed company Remixpoint cleared all altcoins and fully switched to Bitcoin reserves.

Tokyo-listed company Remixpoint sold all its altcoins on September 1, 2026. The company emptied Ethereum, Solana, Ripple and Dogcoin in one trading day. At present, only Bitcoin is left in its asset portfolio, completing a comprehensive transformation to a pure Bitcoin treasury.

Ethereum and Solana contributed most of the profits

The company disclosed the sale through official documents on September 2, 2026. It sold 901.44 Ethereum, 13,920 Solana and other positions. The total income from the four assets was approximately 878.8 million yen (approximately US$5.5 million). Compared with a total book cost of 761 million yen, Remixpoint reported a profit of 117.8 million yen (approximately US$737,000), with Ethereum and Solana contributing most of the proceeds.

The sale comes on a day when the overall performance of the cryptocurrency market is sluggish. Bitcoin prices fell below $77,000 after a new round of U.S. military strikes triggered risk aversion. Despite this, Remixpoint ended its altcoin position on a profitable basis.

Ripple and dogcoin end the chapter of altcoin

Ripple contributed a modest increase to overall profits, with the company selling 1.19 million tokens. Dogecoin was the only asset that lost money in this sell-off. The company sold 2.8 million pieces, and the position ended up losing approximately 3.25 million yen.

The exit coincides with a critical juncture for Ripple in Japan. Japanese lawmakers are advancing a bill to treat Bitcoin, Ethereum and Ripple as stocks. The change could reduce the tax rate for cryptocurrency holders to around 20%.

However, other Japanese companies are currently moving in the opposite direction. SBI Holdings continues to expand its Rip-based payment network nationwide. Gumi also includes Bitcoin and Ripple on its balance sheet. Remixpoint's move represents only a company's choice, not a market signal. Its sell-off of Ripple reflects the behavior of a single medium-sized company to de-risk the treasury, and does not mean that Japan as a whole is moving away from the asset.

Bitcoin alone supports the entire treasury

After completing the sale of altcoins, Remixpoint currently holds approximately 1,506 bitcoins. The proceeds from the sale will be used to invest in grid-scale battery energy storage projects rather than purchasing new cryptocurrencies. The company is directing money towards energy infrastructure and shareholder value.

Bitcoin also brings revenue to the company through lending activities. During the period from February to August 2026, 14.92 bitcoins were generated by borrowing. In August alone, 2.48 bitcoins were added, worth approximately 31.15 million yen. Before the sale of altcoins, pledges of Ethereum and Solana also brought additional income, with the total pledge rewards reaching 29.87 million yen during the same period. Management now views Bitcoin as both a reserve asset and a revenue engine.

Remixpoint is part of the emerging wave of pure bitcoin treasury in Japan. Metaplane, Japan's largest such company, recently increased its holdings of 2,823 bitcoins, launched a U.S. subsidiary called Superplanet, and began using bitcoins as collateral. Smaller companies are also joining the trend from different angles, such as ANAP's entry into the Bitcoin treasury space as a new player. Strategy, the world's largest holder, has authorized the sale of Bitcoin for credit and dividend purposes, although founder Michael Siler said the company remains a net buyer.

Not all treasury management companies are selling altcoins right now. SharpLink restored Ethereum accumulation after suspending it at the beginning of the year. DFDV, which is focused on Solana, also resumed buying after Solana prices rebounded above $100. Remixpoint's profit of 117.8 million yen will be included in its second-quarter revenue, which ends September 30, 2026. The company will now move forward with a single-asset cryptocurrency strategy that revolves entirely around Bitcoin.
