Ripple Treasury expands GSmart AI capabilities to core financial areas such as forecasting, liquidity, and risk
Ripple Treasury announced that it will expand its GSmart AI capabilities on September 10, adding policy controls to core corporate finance functions. The update covers forecasting, liquidity management, risk management, reconciliation and reporting, while ensuring that financial approval authority remains with authorized employees.
GSmart uses a deterministic engine to perform financial calculations, and its AI layer is responsible for interpreting company policies, identifying patterns, and explaining proposed actions. Each dedicated agent monitors a specific treasury function. When the system recommends an action, it can clearly indicate the policy terms that support the action.
Knowledge studios define policies, interactive queries improve efficiency
Ripple Treasury places these controls in the "Knowledge Studio", where teams define organizational rules and permissions. Proposed actions require policy review before being submitted for manual review. In addition, Analytics Studio includes Ask GSmart, a conversational interface for retrieving treasury information. Users can ask questions in daily language without having to build a separate report.
This structure provides employees with supportive information before approving financial actions. GSmart does not have the authority to independently execute transactions, and all critical operations require human approval.
Risk insight adoption rate reaches 60%, forecast insight is 44%
Ripple Treasury reports that 60% of customers eligible for Risk Insights have enabled it. This feature identifies abnormal exposures and potential policy violations. In comparison, Forecast Insights has a qualified customer adoption rate of 44%. This feature identifies emerging liquidity gaps by comparing forecast cash flows with actual results.
It is worth noting that these percentages only represent the adoption of individual features, not the adoption rate of Ripple's overall customer base. These data do not measure improvements in forecast accuracy or reductions in financial losses.
Ripple Treasury originated from GTreasury, which Ripple acquired in 2025. The company reported that the value of platform transactions exceeded US$13 trillion that year and the number of customers exceeded 1,000. This transaction data covers the treasury activity of the former GTreasury business and does not represent the settlement volume of XRP.
