XRP Healthcare started business clearing due to wallet security incidents and financial pressures
XRP Healthcare has announced that it will stop its normal operations. Previously, the company suffered a serious wallet security incident on September 3 that reportedly affected 4,011 accounts and estimated losses of approximately $452,000. This incident has exacerbated the company's financial and operational pressure after intensive investment over the past three years.
Business Termination and Divestiture
XRP Healthcare said in a statement on September 10 that after nearly three years of development, continuing regular business is "no longer sustainable." The company pointed to a prolonged bear market environment and the high costs of a failed public listing process as key factors in the difficult decision. The operation was described as an "operational wind-down" rather than a bankruptcy petition, liquidation petition or court-supervised bankruptcy proceeding. Therefore, the statement did not establish the company's legal status or explain how creditor claims would be handled.
Currently, XRP Healthcare is coordinating with partner exchanges for the removal of XRPH and XRPHAI tokens. Each trading platform will set transaction closure, deposit suspension and withdrawal deadline according to its own regulations. Holders need to pay attention to the official notices issued by their own platform. In addition, the company's intellectual property and international trademark portfolio will continue to be managed by independent entities, but the company did not disclose which legal entity holds the assets, nor did it say whether the assets will be sold or how the proceeds will be treated.
Details of wallet security incidents
According to information released by XRP Healthcare, the unauthorized transaction began on September 3. The company subsequently confirmed that a total of 4,011 XRPH Wallet accounts were affected, and estimated the value of missing assets to be close to US$452,000. The encryption news website crypto.news reported that the incident involved 267,664 XRP and native project tokens. This figure is estimated by XRP Healthcare and is not an independently audited loss amount.
Because the company did not publish a complete list of affected addresses, transaction hashes, or recovered balances, external researchers were unable to fully reproduce the total loss size or determine whether each transfer belonged to the same event. After detecting abnormal activity, XRP Healthcare immediately took its wallet application offline, and digital services are still unavailable. The company said it will continue to keep relevant transaction records and cooperate with exchanges, online platforms, authorities and other relevant parties to track or recover funds.
Technical Attribution: Wallet application flaw rather than underlying protocol failure
Independent technicians pointed out to U.Today that the leak mainly stems from the way XRPH Wallet generates and processes mnemonics, rather than a vulnerability in the underlying consensus protocol of XRP Ledger. Allegations are that the wallet used insufficient random numbers when creating seed phrases, resulting in lower entropy, reducing the number of possible mnemonic word combinations and allowing attackers to derive private keys by searching for remaining combinations offline.
Another charge based on decompiled code claims that the software transmitted users 'seed phrases over a network connection. XRP Healthcare said it discovered the alleged transfer behavior after the incident and trusted the team hired to develop the app. As of now, XRP Healthcare and related researchers have not released a complete public forensic report containing reproducible code analysis, so the reason is still considered a technical proposition, although the company has not denied that wallet software flaws expose user risks.
Former Ripple developer Matt Hamilton and XRP Ledger community contributors Vet and Hazard Cookie said they had raised concerns about the project before the September incident. Vet mentioned that he rejected the funding request because the project documents contained inaccurate cooperation statements. However, past criticism cannot independently prove the cause of wallet losses, and security discoveries need to be evaluated separately from early disputes about XRP Healthcare's business model, documentation or token structure.
Subsequent Impact and User Notice
There is currently no date for resuming operations. The company did not announce migration tools, alternative wallets or formal claims portal for reporting losses. Applications with similar brand identities should not be considered authorized replacements if they are not confirmed through official channels.
For XRPHAI tokens, the project will start trading on BitMart in July 2026. Users holding tokens on BitMart must wait or look for a notification from the exchange to determine the withdrawal date. The removal of tokens from the shelves usually ends transactions in a single venue and does not automatically destroy tokens in private wallets. Its continued transferability depends on whether the underlying network, available liquidity, and other services continue to support the asset.
XRP Healthcare does not promise to provide compensation to affected wallet users. Its commitment is limited to recovery efforts, cooperation and major event updates, and does not specify a reimbursement amount or timetable. As of now, no verified total recovery has been disclosed, nor has frozen exchange deposits, returned funds or arrest information related to unauthorized transactions been disclosed.
