Tencent background Yanlong Technology raises US$912 million in Shanghai AI chip IPO

Cambrian will be listed on the Science and Technology Innovation Board of the Shanghai Stock Exchange on September 11.

The Shanghai Stock Exchange announced on September 10 that Cambrian (stock code: 688801) stocks will officially start trading on September 11. The initial public offering (IPO) raised 6.12 billion yuan (approximately US$912 million), valuing the company to approximately 61.19 billion yuan (approximately US$9.12 billion).

Listing Details and Issuance Data

The announcement issued by the Shanghai Stock Exchange on September 10 confirmed the place, date and stock code of the Cambrian listing in Shanghai, clearly stating that its RMB ordinary shares will be traded on the Science and Technology Innovation Board starting from September 11. According to Reuters, the Cambrian issued 43 million shares at a price of 142.18 yuan per share, raising a total of 6.12 billion yuan, with a corresponding valuation of approximately 61.19 billion yuan. This offering is one of the recent large-scale listings in terms of amount in the Shanghai market. The trading on September 11 will allow stocks under the "688801" code to officially enter the market circulation.

Tencent's shareholding and revenue contribution

According to reports, Tencent is expected to hold 17.95% of the Cambrian shares after listing. At the same time, Tencent was also the largest end customer in the Cambrian, accounting for 83.79% of its total revenue in 2025. The prospectus of the Science and Technology Innovation Board submitted by the Cambrian on June 18 clarified that the identity of the issuer was "Shanghai Cambrian Information Technology Co., Ltd." and recorded Tencent Technology's shareholding before the IPO and relevant lock-up period commitments.
