BNB Chain added US$3.62 billion in real-world asset value in 2026, surpassing Solana

According to CryptoRank's latest blockchain ranking data, BNB Chain added US$3.62 billion in real-world asset (RWA) value in 2026, surpassing Solana's growth of US$2.66 billion over the same period.

Overview of growth data

CryptoRank released relevant data on September 11. In the year-to-date RWA value growth rankings, BNB Chain ranks first. Stellar ranked third with new growth of $2.5 billion, followed by Ethereum with growth of $1.6 billion.

To be clear, this comparison measures absolute dollar growth through 2026. This does not mean that BNB Chain has surpassed Ethereum in total RWA value, nor does it mean that BNB Chain has become the largest RWA network determined by outstanding asset size.

BNB Chain leads in growth rate rather than overall size

Data show that BNB Chain outgrew Solana by approximately $960 million annually. The increase was about 36% higher than Solana's reported earnings and about 45% higher than Stellar's.

BNB Chain officially used "Who dominates the (RWA) world? The slogan of "BNB Chain". However, the underlying chart is derived from CryptoRank, so this ranking is an estimate of external data rather than data independently confirmed by BNB Chain.

CryptoRank describes how it is calculated as "RWA value growth by blockchain." The companying post did not publish the initial value of each network, the specific assets counted in the total, or the contract addresses that supported the calculation. Therefore, the $3.62 billion figure should be interpreted as CryptoRank's estimated increase to BNB Chain in 2026, and it does not represent BNB Chain's reported revenue, transaction volume, or the total value of locked positions in the decentralized finance sector.

Definition and scope of RWA measurements

RWA measurements typically cover blockchain representations of assets connected to traditional markets. Depending on the data provider, tracking categories may include tokenized government securities, private credit, commodities, funds, stocks and other financial claims.

Solana and Stellar follow BNB Chain

According to CryptoRank rankings, Solana recorded a $2.66 billion RWA growth over the same period. The gap between Solana and third-ranked Stellar is only $160 million. Stellar added $2.5 billion, followed by $1.6 billion from Ethereum. Avalanche ranked fifth with a growth of US$1 billion. ZKsync and Monad completed the released list, with increases of $750 million and $370 million respectively.

These numbers compare absolute dollar increments, which may benefit networks that receive one or more large offerings. A dollar growth statement cannot disclose the number of tokenized products, the concentration of holders, secondary market liquidity, or the trading activity behind the balance.

CryptoRank does not provide a percentage growth rate for each blockchain. Without an initial balance, its public data cannot show whether BNB Chain achieved the fastest proportional expansion or achieved the highest growth from a smaller initial base.

In addition, the post also omits redemptions and transfers between networks. If issuers move existing tokenized products from one blockchain to another, even if the underlying asset pool remains the same, the measured value of one network may rise, while the balance of another network may fall.

Ethereum still retains the largest share of RWA

Although ranked fourth in terms of added value in 2026, Ethereum continues to account for the largest share of total RWA value, CryptoRank said in its official market update. Its $1.6 billion growth is less than half the gain measured by BNB Chain.

Ethereum's status illustrates the difference between market size and current growth. A network with a large initial balance can add less dollars than smaller competitors over a selected period of time while still maintaining the lion's share.

CryptoReport reports that since the beginning of 2026, the total value of RWAs on the chain has exceeded US$39 billion, an increase of more than 50%. Its public RWA classification page separately tracks crypto projects related to real-world assets, but the token market value on this page is not the same measure of blockchain-level value in the September 11 chart.

Data providers may generate different market totals because they apply different definitions. Some dashboards count stablecoins, while others focus on tokenized securities, commodities, private credit and institutional funds. Therefore, when quoting any aggregate RWA numbers, the provider should be identified.

Correlation of tokenized stocks

This distinction is particularly important for tokenized stocks. Tokenized stocks on Base reportedly trade $100 million a day on decentralized exchanges, but volume measures turnover and cannot be added directly to the outstanding RWA value.

Tokenized products face legal and data discrepancies

Tokenized assets do not always confer direct legal title to the holder of the referenced asset. Some products represent securities recorded on the blockchain, while others are debt instruments or contractual claims backed by assets held through off-chain custodians.

analyst examined what tokenized-stock investors legally own. The legal rights depend on the issuer, governing documents, custody structure and the official ownership record. A token’s blockchain balance alone does not establish those rights.

U.S. regulatory treatment remains product-specific. The SEC's tokenized stock proposal reportedly focuses on the formal shareholder register, indicating that legal records may have more weight than the technical form used to transfer assets.

Federal banking agencies have taken a similar functional approach to tokenized securities. The Fed's guidelines state that placing a security on a distributed ledger infrastructure does not automatically change the way its capital is treated when its economic nature remains unchanged.

Rankings require more asset-level disclosures

CryptoRank data may change as issuers create, redeem or move tokenized assets. Even if the supply of tokens remains the same, changes in the market price of products linked to stocks, commodities, or funds will affect their dollar value.

The deadline for the next blockchain ranking has not yet been announced. CryptoRank maintains real-time market pages, while its social media tables provide snapshots of selected dates and periods.

To conduct a complete audit of BNB Chain's RWA growth data, starting and ending balances, valuation timestamps, asset definitions, contract addresses, and handling of bridging tokens are required. CryptoRank's September 11 post did not publish these details, nor did it identify which individual assets accounted for BNB Chain's $3.62 billion growth.
