If the vote to close the debate fails, Cabone suggested that some provisions of the CLARITY Act could be added to legislation that must be passed before the end of the year, such as the Defense Authorization Act.
Potential impact on XRP and tokenization
Brad Kimms directly linked the possibility of passage of the CLARITY Act to a major tokenization event. The Depository Trust and Clearing Corporation (DTCC), a key financial infrastructure provider, is preparing to expand its tokenization services in October, expected to cover approximately US$114 trillion in assets.
RipplePrime is part of the Ripple ecosystem and appears on DTCC's supplier list, alongside large financial institutions such as BlackRock, Goldman Sachs, BNP Paribas, Franklin Templeton and JP Morgan.
Kims said Ripple, through its G-Treasury and Hidden Road affiliates, currently has US$16 trillion in assets and is operating under Ripple Prime. This makes XRP the main collateral and clearing asset for a significant portion of funds in the institutional market.
