Arbitrum (ARB) rose nearly 30% in 24 hours, Robinhood Chain sets a record
Arbitrum (ARB) has risen nearly 30% in the past 24 hours, and the token price once hit US$0.12, then fell back to around US$0.11. The rapid rise comes as Ethereum's second-layer network Robinhood Chain, built based on Arbitrum technology, sets new records in activity and transaction volume. According to the Arbitrum Foundation, the network processed 5.52 million transactions on August 30, a record high. On the same day, transaction volume on the decentralized exchange reached approximately US$875 million, reflecting a significant increase in user engagement.
Applications built on Robinhood Chain generated US$2.66 million in revenue in 24 hours, making the network third in the blockchain daily application revenue ranking, behind Solana's US$5.07 million, and surpassing Ethereum and Base networks.
Economic connection between Robinhood Chain and Arbitrum
Economic connection between Robinhood Chain and Arbitrum is managed by the Arbitrum Extension Plan. Under the framework, Robinhood Chain returns 10% of its net agreement revenue to the Arbitrum ecosystem: 8% goes to the Arbitrum DAO vault and 2% goes to the Arbitrum Developers Guild. More than 30 chains based on Arbitrum technology and settled outside Arbitrum One have adopted similar revenue sharing models. It should be noted that the $2.66 million in revenue mentioned in the report comes from apps on Robinhood Chain, not the chain's protocol revenue itself, so the 10% return to Arbitrum is not directly based on this figure.
Small Dictionary: Robinhood Chain is a two-layer blockchain designed to improve the scalability and efficiency of Ethereum-based applications and use Arbitrum technology to achieve faster and more cost-effective transactions.
Memo trading promotes online use
Robinhood Chain's recent activities are mainly driven by memo trading. Users created approximately 22,600 new tokens through Pons in a single day, while header apps such as Pons, GMGN and Uniswap contributed approximately 88% of total app revenue. Pons and GMGN combined revenue of nearly $2 million, with Uniswap contributing approximately $307,000. Although Robinhood Chain initially focused on tokenized assets, memecoin now dominates most activity.
Derivatives, price movements and upcoming unlocking
The rise in ARB is also reflected in derivatives trading. Open interest surged to about $88 million, with a reduction in short and put positions driving buying pressure. This trend contrasts Arbitrum with the broader cryptocurrency market, with Bitcoin stabilizing at around $78,000 and other major altcoins gaining smaller.
However, the planned token unlock on September 23 may cause resistance. By then, 139.15 million ARBs will be unlocked, accounting for 1.4% of the total supply and approximately 2% of the market value. The allocation plan is: 53.8% for insiders, 35% for private investors, and 11.2% for Arbitrum Foundation.
Unlock details:
Date: September 23| Unlock tokens: 139.15 million| Proportion of total supply: 1.4%| Proportion of market value: 2%| Insiders: 53.8%| Private investors: 35%| Foundations: 11.2%
Continued buying demand is needed to absorb new tokens entering the market, especially as the ARB continues to test the US$0.12 to US$0.14 range during this period.
Technical Analysis: Resistance and Support
The daily chart of the ARB shows that prices have broken through all major Fibonacci retracement levels from an August low of approximately $0.072 to a previous high of approximately $0.1096. The rally pushed the ARB above $0.12 before falling back to around $0.111. Current support levels are US$0.1008 (23.6% Fibonacci), US$0.0953 (38.2%), US$0.0909 (50%) and US$0.0865 (61.8%), respectively. The daily ADX is close to 33.8, indicating that the directional momentum is strong, and the positive indicators are significantly higher than the negative indicators.
If it stays above US$0.1096, US$0.12 will become the next resistance level. A daily close above $0.12 could open the way to $0.13, while $0.14 remains the key target-a level last seen during the May decline.
On the 4-hour chart, ARB once broke through the upper track of the Bollinger Band of US$0.12 and fell back. The middle rail is approximately US$0.0937, which serves as the lower reference point. Equilibrium trading volume (OBV) also increased significantly, indicating strong participation during the rally. Maintaining OBV and returning to $0.115 may create the conditions for testing $0.12 and higher again.
Robinhood Chain's record trading volume and a surge in revenue from decentralized apps drove ARB prices soaring nearly 30%, making the $0.12 and $0.14 targets within reach before major tokens were unlocked.
