Boyaa Interactive purchased approximately 205 bitcoins, increasing its total position to 4,316 bitcoins.

Boyaa Interactive spent approximately US$14.3 million to purchase approximately 205 bitcoins between June 24 and September 4. The move brought the total number of bitcoins it holds to approximately 4,316, with an average cost of approximately US$68,280 each. As a gaming company that continues to deploy crypto assets in its Web3 projects, Burson-Marson Interactive's move further consolidates its presence in the field.

According to the announcement released by Boya Interactive International Limited to the Hong Kong Stock Exchange on September 4, the transaction was completed through a series of open market transactions. The company used idle cash reserves generated by business operations and spent a total of HK$110 million (approximately US$14.3 million). Trading is performed through a regulated and licensed trading platform and prices are based on current bid and sell quotes in the open market.

It is worth noting that the acquisition did not invoke the shareholder authorization for a separate major bitcoin transaction approved by Burson Interactive's shareholders meeting on June 18. As the applicable percentage ratio for new purchases exceeds 5% but is less than 25%, the transaction is classified as a "disclosed transaction" under the Hong Kong Listing Rules.

Strategic Transformation and Web3 Game Ecosystem Construction

This purchase continues the cumulative strategy adopted by Burson-Arts Interactive in its transformation to Web3 games and infrastructure. As early as March 2025, reports emerged that Burson-Marson Interactive was seeking shareholder approval for a $70 million crypto expansion plan that planned to acquire a variety of assets, including Bitcoin and Ethereum, over the next 12 months.

Looking back on 2025, Boysteen Interactive has significantly expanded its Bitcoin treasury. In August of the same year, the company purchased approximately 290 bitcoins for US$32.9 million in three weeks, when its holdings reached 3,670 bitcoins and the average acquisition cost was US$62,878. Similar to the latest transaction, the $33 million bitcoin purchase also came from internal cash and was conducted through a regulated trading platform. At the time, Boy-Marya Interactive stated that its Bitcoin holdings per 10,000 shares would increase by 12% in 2025 to approximately 0.0516.

Since November 2024, Burson-Marne Interactive's Bitcoin position has changed significantly. At that time, the company converted 14,200 Ethereum pieces worth US$49.48 million into approximately 515 bitcoins through open market transactions. This "Ethereum to Bitcoin" operation brought Burson-Marson Interactive's position to approximately 3,183, and briefly made it the largest Bitcoin holder of a listed company in Asia. However, Japanese company Metaplanet then surpassed Boars-Arts Interactive in March 2025, when Metaplanet increased its position to 2,888, while Boars-Arts Interactive held 2,410 positions at the time.

Specific applications of Bitcoin in Web3 projects

Burson-Marson Interactive's Bitcoin strategy is not limited to holding the asset in the company's treasury. The company said cryptocurrencies, mainly Bitcoin, are gradually being deployed in its Web3 gaming and blockchain infrastructure.

  • Boyaa Network: In the second quarter of 2026, Boya Interactive will use another 1,000 bitcoins for Boya Network's blockchain pledge. Boya Network is a public blockchain designed specifically for Web3 games. It uses a Proof of Stake mechanism and was launched in the second quarter. The company said the allocation was designed to support network security and operational stability. Burson Networks is seen as the foundation of its universal token business, emphasizing low latency and fast transaction confirmations.
  • MTT Network and MTT Sports: Another 1,000 bitcoins have previously been allocated for pledge of the MTT Network. The MTT Network is a blockchain built based on the Cosmos SDK and supports the MTT Sports gaming platform. Burson-Marne Interactive has invested 100 bitcoins and approximately 4.18 million USDT in MTT Sports, holding a 25% stake and 19% of MTT tokens. In August 2025, as Alchemy Pay added legal currency deposit and withdrawal channels to the platform, MTT Sports expanded its encrypted payment infrastructure to allow users to obtain MTT tokens through Visa, Mastercard and mobile wallet. Burson-Arts Interactive stated that it provides technical support to MTT Sports and is a major contributor to its research and development work.
  • YAKO Wallet: This crypto wallet developed specifically for gaming applications has received 500 bitcoins for cross-chain bridge liquidity pools. It is planned to invest another 500 bitcoins for the same purpose between 2026 and 2027. The wallet will be launched in the fourth quarter of 2025 and covers approximately 26 countries and regions. Its bridging function allows users to transfer assets between different blockchains, and Bitcoin reserves are designed to provide liquidity for transfers.
  • Pet Land:This is a pet-themed social game that combines Web3 technology and AI modules and is expected to be launched in 2026. Boardman Interactive plans to allocate 100 bitcoins as in-game rewards between 2026 and 2028, and use another 1,000 bitcoins for blockchain network pledge during 2026.

In addition, Boarsson-Arts Interactive expects to reserve an additional 100 to 300 bitcoins by 2028 to invest in Web3 projects through its Web3 Industry Fund. The company said it may use cryptocurrency to fund investments in its selected game projects, blockchain infrastructure and other businesses.

According to the company's documents, 2,600 bitcoins have been put into use in its existing and planned projects, and another 1,700 to 1,900 bitcoins are planned to be deployed. According to the current plan, more than 1,700 bitcoins in its positions will be gradually put into use.

Security and compliance operations

Burson-Arts Interactive stated that almost all of its bitcoins are kept by institutional custodians, and private keys are usually stored in offline cold storage environments. Its security measures include multi-signature authorization for transmission, a hardware security module (HSM) for key management, and multi-party cryptographic approval for private key decryption.

In terms of procurement, Burson-Marson Interactive purchases Bitcoin through trading platforms licensed by the Hong Kong Securities and Futures Commission (SFC), regulated platforms in other jurisdictions, and qualified over-the-counter (OTC) providers. The company emphasizes that its treasury operations do not provide crypto trading, brokerage or asset management services to third parties.

Burson-Marya Interactive has begun a strategic transformation centered on Web3 since 2023. While increasing its encryption assets, it also invests in the development of Web3 games and related infrastructure. From 2024 to 2025, the company will increase R & D spending on Web3 games, invest in related projects, and introduce Bitcoin to its game infrastructure. Burson Interactive describes its current business model as a combination of gaming applications, ecosystem development and value storage. Although the company still operates a traditional online board and game business that provides cash flow for its Web3 development, its project portfolio now covers diverse content such as MTT Sports, MTT Network, YAKO Wallet, Boyaa Network and Pet Land.
