U.S. financial giant Schwab prepares to expand cryptocurrency services

U.S. -based financial giant Charles Schwab is planning to expand its cryptocurrency services. The company announced that it will add Solana, Avalanche and Chainlink to the tradable digital assets on its Schwab Crypto platform.

According to the company's official statement, Schwab Crypto users will be able to trade SOL, AVAX and LINK in the next few months. The move aims to expand the range of crypto assets available to investors on the platform.

Schwab Crypto Extension!

As we all know, Schwab will open cryptocurrency services to customers in 2026. In the initial stages of the platform, investors can trade Bitcoin and Ethereum.

Under the new plan, joining Solana, Avalanche and Chainlink will expand the range of digital assets tradable on Schwab Crypto. The company said trading in these assets will be gradually rolled out in the next few months, but did not provide a specific date when active trading in the new cryptocurrency will begin.

Joe Viettri, Head of Digital Assets at Schwab, said: "With this expansion, customers will have more options to build digital asset allocations while enjoying the Schwab investment and banking experience they are familiar with and trust. These additions are in line with our consistent approach of providing customers with familiar cryptocurrencies, supplemented by education, tools, resources and a supporting ecosystem that allows them to make informed decisions about how to integrate cryptocurrencies into broader investment goals."
