Ripple Prime enters Wall Street and launches 24/7 Delta One derivatives business

Ripple is launching Delta One business through its Ripple Prime to further delve into the institutional finance field, targeting markets dominated by Wall Street giants such as Goldman Sachs and JPMorgan Chase for a long time.

The new business was announced on social media to provide institutional clients with total income swaps (TRS) based on U.S. listed stocks, indices and digital assets. Ripple said these products can be customized based on clients 'investment horizons, risk appetite and reporting needs.

So, what is Delta One?

Simply put, Delta One allows investors to gain economic exposure to an asset without having to directly hold the asset. Through total income swaps, clients receive income on underlying stocks, indices or other assets, while prime brokers are responsible for financing and hedging. Because the derivative closely tracks the underlying asset, it is called Delta One.

More notably, this strategy is widely adopted by hedge funds, asset management companies and other institutional investors to achieve efficient exposure, leverage and more flexible portfolio management.

Ripple Prime targets Wall Street with bold multi-asset expansion

Ripple Prime is unique in that it promotes the integration of traditional and digital markets. The company said customers can obtain stocks, foreign exchange, derivatives, fixed income and digital assets through a single counterparty, reducing the need to maintain multiple partnerships across asset classes.

Ripple Prime also emphasizes cross-margin trading and round-the-clock availability. Cross-margin trading can improve capital efficiency by combining eligible positions in different markets as collateral, while round-the-clock service naturally fits with the never-sleeping nature of digital asset markets.

Another key selling point is Ripple Prime's conflict-free execution model. Ripple said its platform focuses on financing and clearing rather than counterparty trading with customers, a positioning that distinguishes it from traditional institutions with proprietary trading or market-making businesses.

This expansion also received sufficient capital support. Ripple Prime claims to have more than $1 billion in regulatory net capital and recently completed a $275 million over-private placement of senior unsecured notes after receiving $200 million in debt financing earlier this year.

Is the information clear and clear? Yes, Ripple no longer positions itself just as a blockchain and payments company. Through Ripple Prime, it is building a broader institutional finance platform that connects traditional markets with the rapidly expanding digital asset economy.

Now, with Delta One's business adding its prime brokerage, clearing and financing capabilities, Ripple is directly challenging an institutional market dominated by Wall Street giants for decades-and Ripple Prime recently won a top prime broker award.

Therefore, the launch of Delta One makes it clear that Ripple Prime wants to have a place on the Wall Street table.
