Chainlink reserve certificate allows Wyoming FRNT to exceed monthly GENIUS Act disclosure requiremen

The Wyoming stablecoin Committee uses Chainlink's reserve certificate to release frontier stablecoin verification data in real time.

The Wyoming stablecoin Committee officially adopted Chainlink's reserve certificate mechanism on Wednesday to release the verification data of its Frontier Stable Tokens in near real time. The move allowed the state to issue stable coins FRNT beyond the minimum monthly disclosure requirements set by the federal GENIUS Act.

External auditor Network Firm verifies reserves according to AICPA standards

External auditor Network Firm verifies the FRNT's reserve assets and token supply in accordance with the standards of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA). Subsequently, the Chainlink Oracle Network uploaded the verified data and refreshed it in near real time. Wyoming views this combination mechanism as an effective way to fill the information gap between official reports.

FRNT was officially launched in January this year, becoming the first stablecoin issued by a state government in the United States. Its reserve assets consist of U.S. dollars and short-term U.S. Treasury bonds, and the proceeds generated from these reserves will go to Wyoming's School Foundation Program rather than distributed to token holders.

Anthony Apollo, executive director of the

committee, said: "By adopting Chainlink Reserve Proof as Wyoming's exclusive uplink asset verification infrastructure, we provide transparent and verifiable confirmation that frontier stablecoins are fully backed by high-quality reserve assets."

The federal stablecoin act, the GENIUS Act, sets basic requirements: issuers must disclose the composition of reserves and outstanding supply once a month. Wyoming has previously exceeded this standard, issuing daily FRNT reserve certificates. This new integration takes it one step further and goes beyond the scope of daily snapshots. The committee expects that the uplink data stream will reflect changes in FRNT reserves between reporting cycles in real time, without anyone waiting for the next scheduled disclosure.

Secure coin mechanism protects against unlimited coin attacks

Wyoming is also deploying a second Chainlink feature, Proof of Reserve Secure Mint, which the committee said is still in the process of being implemented. The mechanism is designed to prevent new FRNTs from being minted when verified reserves do not reach or exceed the total supply of tokens. Its core purpose is to prevent unlimited coinage attacks (in which an attacker mints tokens without reserve support), while also providing holders with cryptographic proof to ensure that any newly minted FRNT is backed by real assets. In this way, reserve verification is directly embedded into the minting process itself.

The move came after Wyoming decided in August this year to migrate FRNT from LayerZero to the Chainlink Cross-Chain Interoperability Protocol (CCIP) as its only cross-chain track. Wyoming made the move decision after a security review, adding a flow of uplink assets that had been moved from LayerZero to CCIP with a total value of approximately $15 billion.

Chainlink has recently become a price source for Coinbase's B20 tokenized shares, joined a euro-Korean won settlement project "Project Pangea" involving multiple banks, and signed a cooperation agreement with the Depository Trust and Clearing Corporation (DTCC). It has been previously reported that DTCC has selected the Chainlink Runtime Environment to run a collateral application chain expected to be launched in the fourth quarter of 2026.

Chainlink's native token LINK traded at approximately US$11.07 on Wednesday, up approximately 35% from the previous month.
