XRP Ripple whale launches a massive hoarding spree: XRP prices may experience greater fluctuations?
According to Sanitation data, well-known analyst Ali Martinez pointed out on Saturday that the Ripple whale has set off a spectacular hoarding boom in the past four days, buying more than 1.5 billion tokens. At the same time, other chain data and technical signals suggest that recent selling pressure may be easing, and the asset may be building for the next round of gains.
Giant Whales built massive positions
These key market participants, whose behaviors are often imitated by retail investors, accumulated approximately 1.54 billion XRPs in approximately 96 hours. At current prices, the value of these positions is approximately US$2 billion. The timing of the purchase is profound, because the hoarding operation began after the setback of the U.S. Senate CLARITY Act, which caused the price of the token to fall sharply.
However, accumulating more than 1.5 billion tokens in a short period of time will help the recovery of asset prices. That was one of the important reasons why prices surged above $1.45 on Friday and Saturday after falling to the bottom of $1.27 after Tuesday's Senate vote.
Ali Charts (@alicharts) said on social media: "Giant whale activity on the XRP network has surged in the past 96 hours. Large households appear to have accumulated approximately 1.54 billion $XRPs, worth approximately $2.2 billion. This is a significant surge in hoarding that may quickly translate into price movements..."
Next target price
