XRP Recent market paradox and strong rebound in XRP
We have recently witnessed a strange contradiction. Major news, including the failure of the CLARITY Act and the U.S. interest rate hike, should have been seen as negative factors for the cryptocurrency market, but the latter has entered the rising range with a strong attitude. Ripple's cross-border tokens have become one of the main beneficiaries, with their prices rising 8% in the past week. This recovery naturally sparked comments from industry participants, many of whom believed that the asset still had huge room for growth in the short term.
Current Situation Analysis
As of writing, XRP is trading at approximately US$1.53 (Source: CoinGecko), a 53% rebound from a local low of below US$1 in mid-August. In addition to the broader recovery of the cryptocurrency market, other catalysts driving its price rise include solid institutional interest. According to CryptoPotato, the spot XRP ETF has recorded net inflows for ten consecutive weeks, and the cumulative net inflows of such products have exceeded US$1.72 billion.
Another positive factor is the activity of giant whales. Last week, prominent analyst Ali Martinez revealed that large holders accumulated approximately 1.54 billion tokens (worth more than $2.2 billion) in approximately 96 hours. Hours earlier, he claimed that the demand had a positive impact on XRP's valuation, noting that on-chain data suggested there might still be room for growth. In his view, the URP showed relatively little resistance until reaching $1.60, after about 2.5 billion coins changed hands at this level.
