The top ten non-stablecoin cryptocurrencies has reshaped the pattern: Zcash, Monero and Hyperliquid are strongly shortlisted, while Cardano and Chainlink are out
A year ago, the market pattern of the top ten non-stablecoin cryptocurrencies was completely different. In the past twelve months, three new assets have entered the ranks, while two established and well-known assets have dropped off the list, highlighting the ever-changing nature of the cryptocurrency market.
Newcomers rank in top ten
After excluding major stablecoins such as Tether (USDT) and USDC, the top six positions remain unchanged: Bitcoin, Ethereum, BNB, XRP, Solana and TRON continue to dominate the market by market value.
Among the most notable changes include: Zcash (ZEC) has been promoted to the first tier, currently trading at approximately US$1,232 and having a market value of approximately US$20.8 billion. Monero (XMR) also entered the list, trading at nearly $530 and having a market value of nearly $10 billion.
Hyperliquid (HYPE) also joined this group. The token is currently priced at close to $85 and has an estimated market value of $21.6 billion. This climb marks a major reshuffle among top cryptocurrencies in addition to the stablecoin sector.
Market performance versus key changes
Cardano (ADA) and Chainlink (LINK) lost their place in the rankings. The latest data shows ADA is trading at approximately $0.25, while LINK is trading at approximately $12.86. Their failure to make the top 10 reflects poor performance compared to faster-growing assets.
The latest data shows that in the past year, Zcash has risen 441%, Hyperliquid has risen 127%, and Monero has risen 77%. At the same time, Cardano fell 61% and Chainlink fell 25%.
Although large cryptocurrencies, including Bitcoin, Ethereum, Solana, BNB and XRP, have also experienced significant retracements, with price declines ranging from 27% to 42%, these large fluctuations have led to changes in hierarchy, as small-cap tokens outperformed more mature currencies.
Volatility and Future Ranking Outlook
Analysts believe Cardano and Chainlink may lose their position due to a lack of market excitement and sluggish adoption rates compared to their high-performing competitors. The rapid speed at which the top ten list changes reminds people of the volatility of the market and the competitive environment between digital assets.
Price-based rankings are inherently dynamic, and just a few days of value fluctuations are enough to restore order. Observers recommend monitoring changes in the market value gap between the tenth and eleventh tokens to determine whether this shift will continue. When this gap narrows, if there is a moderate price change for any token, the rankings may quickly reverse.
