Top companies sell XRP but keep Bitcoin

Remixpoint Inc. (Tokyo Stock Exchange code: 3825) is an energy and digital asset company listed in Tokyo, Japan. It announced on September 2 that it had sold all of its holdings in Ripple (XRP), Ethereum (ETH), Solana (SOL) and Dogcoin (DOGE). Currently, the company only holds Bitcoin (BTC) in its digital asset library.

The assets sold this time include 1.19 million XRP, 901.45 ETH, 13,920 SOL and 2.8 million DOGE, with a total value of approximately US$5.5 million.

The transaction generated a total of approximately US$737,000 in revenue, of which XRP made a profit of US$72,000, ETH made a profit of US$377,000, and SOL made a profit of US$308,000; but the sale of DOGE resulted in a loss of US$21,000.

The company currently holds 1,506 BTC units worth approximately US$115.3 million. In fact, Bitcoin has now become the only cryptocurrency held in its digital asset library.

Remixpoint said that he chose to concentrate crypto assets in Bitcoin in order to clarify investment strategies and improve capital efficiency. The company added that in view of current market conditions, risk-return characteristics and financial strategies, it decided to liquidate other altcoins. The company is considering using the proceeds from the sale to expand in growth areas such as grid-level battery energy storage, enhance financial soundness, and take corresponding measures to enhance corporate value and shareholder value.

The company also said it made income by lending bitcoin. During the period from February 24 to August 31, its borrowing fee income was 14.92 BTC, worth approximately US$1 million.

On September 2, Remixpoint shares closed down 5% at $228. As of writing, Bitcoin was trading at US$77,501.30, down 1.2% in 24 hours. XRP was quoted at US$1.34, down 3.1%; Ethereum was quoted at US$2,400.33, down 2.4%; Solana was quoted at US$99.59, down 2.7%; Dogecoin was quoted at US$0.08179, down 1.4%.
