Core Points
STRK has exceeded September resistance. Buyers are testing support levels near $0.051. The RSI indicator is overbought and below its September peak.
Earlier on October 4, CoinMarketCap data showed that STRK rose 9.5% in 24 hours. The price briefly broke through September resistance, and then stalled when it approached $0.0595. As of 17:00 Coordinated Universal Time (UTC), the Coinbase daily chart showed that prices had fallen back to approximately $0.0561, forcing buyers to defend the previously recovered $0.0507-$0.0521 area.
STRK is currently trading above the pre-September high, and the latest correction is testing the breakthrough area. September's highs and lows laid the foundation for this latest rise. The market started around $0.0220 in August and hit $0.0508 in September before sellers pushed STRK back to around $0.0380. Buyers re-entered at this higher low, providing the basis for the next challenge to the September high. The subsequent daily line closed above $0.0508, establishing a "higher high after higher points" pattern.
The current improvement depends on the development of the first correction. Pre-return resistance levels are part of testing for breakthroughs; if prices fail to stabilize above this region, questions will be raised about whether buyers can maintain a higher trading range.
Buyers have successfully defended the breakthrough zone
The October 4 low of $0.05174 brought STRK back into the $0.0507-$0.0521 zone. Previous highs in September fall within this region, which also includes a 0.236 Fibonacci retracement level near $0.0508 and an optional 0.20 retracement level near $0.0521.
The rally was a positive start, but the daily line had not closed at 17:00 UTC. If the recovery momentum can be maintained in subsequent trading days after closing above this region, it will provide buyers with stronger evidence that the retest was successful. If you close below this zone repeatedly, especially when the rally starts to be suppressed by sellers at the same level, this signal will be weakened.
If the support level holds, STRK will have the basis to try again to hit $0.0595-$0.0600, which is where this rally stops. If it can remain above this range, the recovery trend will be further extended. However, if rejected again, prices could consolidate between their recovered September highs and recent peaks.
Breaking through the September bottom below is crucial
If the retest fails, the next Fibonacci reference level is $0.0453, followed by an uptrend blue line around $0.042-$0.043. Below this line, the September consolidation zone will point to the higher and lower point of $0.0380, where buyers had previously halted their decline.
Fibonacci horizontal usage anchors are located around $0.02204 and $0.05963 respectively. Higher upper anchors change the calculated pullback level.
The moving average is far from the current price, with 50 SMA around $0.0329, 100 SMA around $0.0303, and 200 SMA around $0.0339. Recent gains have pushed the 50 SMA higher, although it is still below the 200 SMA. These moving averages help describe the long-term recovery process; more relevant judgments are the recent breakthrough areas and September's highs and lows.
New highs do not bring new RSI peaks
The speed of the rise has pushed the daily RSI to 76.13, above its nearby smooth line of 63.79. This puts it in overbought range, although Fidelity's RSI guidance points out that a strong trend may remain above 70 for long periods of time.
Caution mainly stems from the comparison with September: prices have exceeded previous highs, while the RSI is below its corresponding peak. This emerging bearish divergence suggests that momentum has not increased simultaneously as prices have moved higher. As the latest candle chart has not yet closed, the RSI may move forward and change this comparison at the end of the trading day.
Still, the rally has attracted more trading activity, with recent volume histograms larger than most previous consolidation periods. This increase in volume supports the current rally, although comparisons with the RSI have raised questions about its strength. Once the day closes, the histogram of outstanding volume on October 4 will provide a clearer contrast to the earlier trading days.
If the correction stabilizes above the September high, the RSI will cool down while retaining the results of the breakthrough. If you close below this zone repeatedly and subsequent recovery attempts fail, the momentum warning will become even more significant. Losing the higher low near $0.0380 would be more damaging to the market as it breaks the price structure that underpinned the latest round of gains.
