Ethereum is on the verge of a critical juncture: Can it break through the US$2000 mark?
Ethereum's valuation is approaching the $2000 mark, putting it at a critical price level. The renewed attention of institutional investors and an active online ecosystem have paved the way for potential market changes.
Can institutional interest turn around?
Institutional demand remains strong, thanks to the recent influx of funds from the spot Ethereum ETF-a net inflow of US$58.34 million per day, which is outstanding. The current total net assets have exceeded US$10 billion, highlighting positive market sentiment. However, some experts warned that a strong inflow in a single day does not necessarily represent a continued upward trend. However, the continued increase in institutional participation may provide support for Ethereum prices and lay the foundation for future price recovery.
What is the technical aspect of Ethereum?
Ethereum currently faces important technical resistance below the US$2000 mark, an area that may determine its subsequent trend. If it can clearly close above this resistance level, it is expected to start a bullish market; otherwise, if it is blocked, it may force Ethereum to return to its previous trading range. Recent technical indicators (such as MACD) show that bullish momentum is increasing, and rising trading volume also confirms continued buyer interest. If Ethereum can exceed US$2000 with strong trading volume, it will be a clear signal that buyers dominate the market.
On-chain activity remains healthy, with high total locked volume (TVL) data and considerable number of active addresses. This shows that despite continued market volatility, user engagement remains positive, further consolidating Ethereum's fundamental appeal beyond speculative attributes.
Market analyst Ted Pillows pointed out that the real test of Ethereum is only now beginning. Judging from historical data, when the Relative Strength Index (RSI) breaks through 65, periodic highs tend to occur; but if the current market responds with consolidation rather than a sharp reversal, it may imply an evolution in market behavior. Since August 2025, Ethereum has hit a high shortly after the daily RSI broke through 65. If Ethereum prices can successfully consolidate after the RSI falls back, this will be the first important reversal signal since April 2025.
Key factors that may affect the future price trend of Ethereum include:
Breaking through the US$2000 resistance level may ignite upward momentum.
A break below the $1874 support level may trigger bearish pressure.
As Ethereum approaches this critical juncture, its price movements will likely provide near-term strategic guidance for technical analysts and long-term market participants.
