Solana (SOL) processed a record 4.2 billion transactions in July, while SOL prices rose 40% over the same period, while tokenized real-world assets were close to $4 billion.
Key Points
The transaction volume in July reached 4.2 billion, a record high, an increase of 13.5% from June.
During the overall rebound in the cryptocurrency market, SOL rose by about 40% in eight days.
As network use accelerates, the tokenized real-world assets on Solana approach $4 billion.
Solana Trading Records
The report shows that Solana processed 4.2 billion on-chain transactions in July, setting a monthly record high. This figure increased by 13.5% from June. Since December last year, transaction volume has increased by about 2 billion transactions, or 91%, indicating that the surge in activity began well before recent price movements.
Data shows that the total distributed real-world assets on each tracking network have exceeded US$38 billion.
According to data cited in the report, SOL rose about 40% in eight days, exceeding $100 for the first time since February. The rise occurred during the overall recovery of the cryptocurrency market, which was further strengthened after the U.S. Treasury Department announced on August 19 that it would expand the scale of long-term bond repurchases.
The Treasury Department said that starting September 9, the repurchase size per transaction will at least double from US$2 billion to US$4 billion. Following the announcement, long-term government bond yields fell, helping to improve risk appetite across financial markets.
Kobeissi's views on RWA
The report attributed part of the increase in Solana transactions to the expansion of tokenized assets and noted that on-chain trading activity has returned to historical highs. This combination is significant because the network is seeing stronger usage while SOL prices are recovering, rather than rising prices and not simultaneously increasing activity.
The valuation of tokenized real-world assets on Solana is close to US$4 billion, an increase of approximately 11.8% from the previous month. As issuers move financial assets to public blockchains, this growth provides the network with another source of activity in addition to traditional cryptocurrency transactions.
Solana's July Ecosystem Report showed its RWA value at US$3.73 billion at the end of the month, while August data later showed the total exceeded US$4 billion. Trading volume also almost doubled from about 2.2 billion transactions in December, indicating that both indicators had begun to climb before SOL's recent eight-day rally.
