REX和Tuttle推出与比特币挂钩的2倍杠杆ETF…

What exactly does the newly issued ASSX ETF track?

REX Shares and Tuttle Capital Management have teamed up to launch a leveraged exchange-traded fund (ETF) linked to Strive, providing traders with a new way to amplify the daily fluctuations of one of the largest publicly traded bitcoin holding companies. The fund, called the "T-REX 2X Long ASST Daily Target ETF", began trading on the Cboe Exchange on Friday under the symbol ASSX. The fund aims to provide a 200% return on the daily performance of Strive's stock before fees and expenses.

This makes ASSX essentially different from a spot Bitcoin ETF. It does not hold Bitcoin, nor does it attempt to provide twice the daily return of Bitcoin. Instead, it tracks Strive's common stock, whose performance itself is influenced by the bitcoin price, investors 'valuations of the company's treasury positions, and Strive's ability to raise capital to continue acquiring BTC. So this is actually a leveraged bet on a bitcoin-linked stock that is already highly volatile, rather than a direct leveraged exposure to cryptocurrency.

REX and Tuttle have previously operated other 2x products linked to crypto-sensitive stocks, including Strategy, BitMine, Circle, Cipher Mining and SharpLink. Strive's addition further extends the model to this fast-growing market segment, namely listed companies whose valuations are closely related to digital asset holdings.

Why is daily leverage important to ASSX investors?

Strive currently holds 25,000 bitcoins, making it one of the top five publicly traded bitcoin holders. The company reached this milestone by purchasing an additional 469 BTC units for approximately US$36.6 million between September 8 and September 11. Strive has not relied entirely on common stock issuance, but has increasingly used structured financing to expand its treasury. Its latest Bitcoin purchase was funded by selling SATA, the company's variable-rate perpetual preferred stock. SATA aims to provide Strive with another channel to raise capital while limiting direct dilution of common shareholders. The tool has also become an important indicator of whether investors are still willing to fund the treasury strategy.

After experiencing a sharp decline at the beginning of the year, SATA has recently recovered to within about 3% of the US$100 face value range. This financing structure is important to ASSX because the ETF does not simply amplify Bitcoin's volatility. It amplifies fluctuations in a company's stock price, which also incorporates assumptions about preferred stock demand, future Bitcoin purchases, capital issues, and premiums or discounts investors will give to the treasury itself.

Are leveraged crypto-related stocks forming an independent market?

This issuance further enriches the level of transactions beyond direct purchase of Bitcoin. Investors can now choose between spot Bitcoin ETFs, Bitcoin Treasury, preferred securities issued by these companies, and leveraged ETFs tied to their common stock. The demand for these tools can be huge. Leveraging products linked to crypto-sensitive companies have attracted active retail participation, such as the 2x BitMine ETF, which has attracted hundreds of millions of dollars in capital. Strive shares rose 6.4% on Friday to close at $30.09, slightly above analysts '12-month average price target of $29.40.

The 2x daily tool allows traders to amplify such fluctuations without having to use traditional margin accounts or options positions. However, from an economic perspective, the transaction works in both directions. A sharp decline in Bitcoin, weakening demand for Strive financing instruments, or a squeeze in the premium investors place on their treasury could cause large swings in the ASST, and the ASSX aims to roughly double this daily change before deducting fees and tracking effects. As a result, ASSX is more than just a bitcoin-related ETF. It demonstrates how corporate treasury transactions have developed a derivative-like ecosystem, where investors have increasingly flexibility in choosing how many layers of leverage to superimpose between their portfolio and underlying Bitcoin exposure.
