Virtuals Protocol has launched a closed beta application on iOS, giving individuals ai independent trading capabilities.

Virtuals Protocol has launched a closed beta version of Virtuals App on the iOS platform. Invited users can get an exclusive personal ai here. This ai not only has a separate wallet, but also can monitor the market and perform trading tasks within the user's set authority.

Core functions and operating logic

Users can set specific tasks, expenditure limits and authority ranges for ai through the application. When preset conditions are met,ai will automatically monitor the market and execute transactions. Early testers used the app to trade around social media posts, track market opinion, and monitor tokens to attack wallets from opening positions to closing positions.

Research discussions, investment decisions and automated operations are all completed in the Group chats interface. Users can share investment ideas among friends while letting ai perform assigned tasks in the background. Virtuals Protocol said the app aims to allow users to use personal ai like quantitative traders: assign tasks and delineate the permissions and boundaries for their operation. Currently, access is limited to invited users only.

"We spent years exploring how to make aiManage funds. From Butler on ACP, EconomyOS, X to proxy trading competitions, we have tried a variety of methods, summarized successful experiences, and re-examined those solutions that fell short of expectations. As personal ai services become smarter, we are committed to realizing our vision of having them use your money." -- Virtuals Protocol (@virtuals_io)

Translation of natural language instructions into ongoing trading rules

Unlike traditional assistants that only provide research reports or trading suggestions, Virtuals 'system can continuously monitor information and take action when preset conditions are met. The project party showed a case in which an agent was instructed to establish a leveraged position of $1,000 if Ether fluctuated more than 2% in five minutes and close it after a specific social media post was posted. This example shows how to transform natural language instructions into persistent automated trading rules.

Transaction automation is one of the main functions of this test. Users can define the fund use limit and authority of ai, and then let the agent execute the instructions independently. Early testers use apps to continuously track markets and conversations that require manual monitoring. Some users configure agents to execute transactions in response to social media posts, while others build dashboards to track the dynamics of tokens attacking wallets throughout the process.

Industry background: ai Agents are gradually gaining control of funds

Virtuals App has entered a cryptocurrency company and is gradually moving towards aiMarkets with open access to wallets, exchanges and trading tools:

  • Binance: Launched Agent OS and its MCP server in August, allowing compatible ai applications to use market data and perform authorized transactions in spot, margin, conversion and futures products. Agents cannot extract assets externally, and account operations depend on the permissions granted by the user.
  • Revolut: connected its Revolut X to a third-party ai assistant in July. The supported assistant can retrieve market data, check balances, review positions and prepare transactions, but each transaction requires user approval before execution.
  • MetaMask: launched an early-accessible version of Agent Wallet in June, allowing ai agents to conduct conversions, perpetual contract transactions and other on-chain transactions under the control set by the wallet owner.

Virtuals is testing a model where agents can continue to act after users establish running rules. However, the company has not disclosed specific details about its custody model, transaction approval process or automated transaction security measures.

Infrastructure and group collaboration experiences

Virtuals Protocol has long been committed to building underlying facilities that allow autonomous agents to conduct economic coordination and transactions. Previously, Virtuals announced the integration of Agent Commerce Protocol into Arbitrum, enabling aiAgents are able to transact natively on the second-layer network and use decentralized financial applications. Virtuals App directly grants capital and instructions to personal agents through a dialogue interface, realizing the popularization of similar concepts.

In group chat scenarios, Virtuals positions it as a tool that goes beyond mere information query. The demonstration shows that ai can monitor transaction conditions after receiving user instructions; or it can be asked to build a dashboard that automatically opens a browser to find sniper wallets holding specific tokens and monitor their balances. In addition, in Group chats, users can ask ai to research assets without leaving the conversation.

Currently, participation is still limited to invited iOS users, and existing testers can provide invitation links to others who want to gain access. Virtuals has not announced a specific time for when apps will move to open beta or universal adoption.
