CRCL shares may test another 52-week low: here's why

Wall Street remains optimistic about Circle Internet Group, but CRCL shares continue to be under pressure

Wall Street remains optimistic about Circle Internet Group Inc., and Casey Wood continues to increase her shares. However, CRCL's share price continues to move in the opposite direction. After experiencing an explosive rally after listing, the stock has given up most of its gains, with bears firmly in control of the trend. As weakness begins to overwhelm fundamentals, traders are increasingly skeptical that CRCL shares will again test their $50 - 52 support range, which coincides with 52-week lows.

Casey Wood continues to be bullish, but investors are still selling

Casey Wood's ARK Invest recently expanded its position in Circle Internet Group, buying more CRCL shares while selling Robinhood shares. The move strengthens ARK's long-standing belief that Circle is expected to benefit from the accelerated adoption of regulated stablecoins and digital payment infrastructure. Wall Street holds a similar view. The latest analyst consensus maintains a buy rating on CRCL stocks with a 12-month average price target of $127.54, implying nearly 93% room for upside from current levels.

Despite these bullish signals, investor sentiment remains cautious. Rather than following institutional buying, the market continues to reward selling, with profit-taking and weakening momentum overriding Circle's long-term growth narrative.

CRCL share price decline raises new downside risks

CRCL's share price trend has undergone a significant shift. After twice failing to hold gains above $140, the stock developed a double top pattern, which is widely seen as an early signal that bullish momentum has been exhausted. The subsequent decline was accompanied by a series of lower highs and lower lows, confirming that bears currently have the upper hand.

The kinetic energy indicator also showed a similar situation. The Relative Strength Index remains below the neutral level of 50, while shares continue to trade below key short-and medium-term moving averages. These signals together indicate that although institutions continue to increase their holdings, buying interest remains limited. The next key battlefield is near $50 to $52, an area that overlaps CRCL's 52-week low and an important historical demand area.

If selling pressure continues, this region may become the next downward target for the market. Once this support level breaks below, it is likely to trigger a new round of selling, further strengthening the bearish outlook. On the upside, bulls must first recover the resistance zone of $72 to $75 before they can try to challenge higher resistance levels around $84 and $105. Until these levels are recovered, any short-term rally is more likely to be seen as a remedial rise rather than the beginning of a sustained reversal.

Will CRCL stock price rebound or test the 52-week low again?

Despite the continued decline, Circle's long-term investment logic remains largely unchanged. The company continues to benefit from increased stablecoin adoption, improved regulatory environment in the United States, and increased institutional interest in digital payment infrastructure. These fundamentals explain why Wall Street remains bullish and why Casey Wood continues to increase her holdings of CRCL shares despite recent weakness.

However, the market currently values technology rather than fundamentals. The formation of a double top pattern, weakening momentum and a series of lower lows suggest that bears are still firmly in control. Unless buyers regain the $72 to $75 resistance zone and break the current bearish pattern, the path of least resistance will still point lower.
