This week, the first edition of the Roundtable 100 list was officially released. To the shock of cryptocurrency investors, analysts ranked Bitcoin much lower than every cryptocurrency on the list. Bitcoin has a market value of US$1.5 trillion and is the world's largest cryptocurrency, but it only ranks 94th in this ranking.
The NEAR blockchain network is designed to run decentralized applications (dApps) and process high-throughput transactions. With a market capitalization of US$2.4 billion, it is the 39th largest cryptocurrency, but ranks 15th in the Roundtable 100, making it the highest-ranked digital asset.
Curve Finance (CRV) is a decentralized finance (DeFi) protocol that supports decentralized trading of stablecoins. Its native token market value is US$554 million, ranking the 97th largest cryptocurrency, but ranking 17th in the Roundtable 100.
Hyperliquid (HYPE) is a blockchain and decentralized exchange built specifically for perpetual contracts and spot asset trading. The market value of its native token recently exceeded $18 billion for the first time after President Donald Trump hinted that the token would enter the U.S. market. Although HYPE is the 10th largest cryptocurrency, it ranks only 19th in the Roundtable 100.
Ondo (ONDO) is a decentralized platform that tokenizes traditional financial assets such as U.S. government bonds and stocks. With a market capitalization of US$1.6 billion, it is the 51st largest cryptocurrency, but ranks 24th on the Roundtable 100.
Solana (SOL) is a high-performance blockchain network known for processing digital transactions at extremely fast speeds and extremely low fees. With a market cap of $57.6 billion, it is the seventh largest cryptocurrency, but Roundtable 100 analysts rank it 56th.
Polygon (POL) is a blockchain scale-up and infrastructure ecosystem designed to make Ethereum-based applications and transactions faster, cheaper, and more scalable. With a market capitalization of US$974 million, it is the 70th largest cryptocurrency and 65th in the Roundtable 100.
Ethereum (ETH) is a decentralized open-source blockchain network that allows developers to build programmable software, smart contracts, and decentralized applications. With a market capitalization of US$290 billion, it is the second-largest cryptocurrency, but only ranks 71st in the Roundtable 100.
Algorand (ALGO) is a high-speed blockchain network used to build decentralized applications. With a market cap of $826 million, it is the 80th largest cryptocurrency, and Roundtable 100 analysts rank it 72nd.
These rankings are based on Roundtable 100 analysts 'assessments of the performance of these assets. Blue Ribbon Committee analysts rank assets based on how much room for growth. While the committee believes that cryptocurrencies such as Bitcoin and Ethereum are near their peak, it believes there is still huge room for development in NEAR, Curve and Hyperliquid.
