The report fails to prove anything: The direct demand generated by ZEC conversions is not enough to explain NEAR's 89% price increase.

Routing redemption is not the same as NEAR investment

ZEC redemption through intentions does not require the end user to become a long-term NEAR holder. Solvers and service providers handle most of the execution, while wallets hide network-level steps from traders.

Higher transaction volumes are still good for the network. It can bring more settlement activity, attract liquidity providers, and demonstrate NEAR's ability to coordinate transactions across different blockchains. Visible usage may also prompt traders to reassess their value judgments about the infrastructure during broader altcoin participation.

This would be an indirect market reaction. Neither the integration announcement nor the September 21 report measured how much NEAR was purchased to support additional ZEC traffic. Thus, the evidence supports a "narrative of use" rather than a mechanical explanation of price movements.
