The market value of RLUSD hit a record high, with an increase of more than 86% during the year.

Ripple's stablecoin RLUSD has reached a new market value high, with a growth rate of more than 86% since the beginning of the year. According to the latest data, the circulating supply of RLUSD has climbed to approximately US$2.49 billion. Looking back at the beginning of 2026, the market value of the stablecoin was approximately US$1.33 billion, which means that RLUSD has achieved growth of more than 86% since the beginning of the year.

The gap with PayPal's PYUSD rapidly narrows

Currently, the market value gap between RLUSD and PYUSD issued by PayPal is rapidly narrowing. PYUSD's current market value is approximately US$2.73 billion, narrowing the difference between the two to approximately US$248 million. Data shows that the two stablecoins have shown different trends in the past week: the supply of RLUSD has increased by approximately US$112 million, while the supply of PYUSD has decreased by approximately US$61 million.

PYUSD supply at the beginning of 2026 was approximately US$3.531 billion and peaked at US$4.214 billion on March 5. Since the peak, its supply has fallen by about 35%.

Distribution on the chain

From the perspective of network distribution, the supply of RLUSD on both XRP Ledger and Ethereum has increased. During the period from September 21 to 28, the RLUSD supply on XRP Ledger increased from US$1.036 billion to US$1.099 billion, an increase of approximately US$63 million; during the same period, the RLUSD supply on Ethereum also increased from US$1.343 billion to US$1.39 billion, an increase of approximately US$49 million.

Currently, approximately 44% of the total RLUSD supply is held on XRP Ledger, while 56% is held on Ethereum.
