XRP has all the bullish catalysts-why haven't prices responded?

Why XRP prices failed to rebound-despite ETFs, RLUSD and regulatory benefits

XRP met almost all the conditions investors had thought would trigger a major market. Ripple's long-term litigation with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission has basically come to an end. Seven spot XRP ETFs currently manage assets of more than US$1 billion. RLUSD has expanded the practicality of XRP ledgers, and institutional adoption continues to accelerate.

What is even more intriguing is that despite these milestones, XRP prices have barely kept pace. According to CoinCodex data, XRP is currently trading at $1.09, down about 70% from the all-time high of $3.65 set in 2025. The gap between strengthening fundamentals and weakening price movements has become one of the biggest puzzles in the cryptocurrency space.

As recent market observers have pointed out, the focus of discussion has shifted from "whether the prospects for XRP have improved" to "whether these developments translate into continued demand for the token."

Regulatory clarity remains one of XRP's biggest strengths.

Ripple's legal victory eliminated years of uncertainty and paved the way for larger institutional involvement. Seven spot XRP ETFs have been approved and grown, and currently have assets under management exceeding US$1 billion, further highlighting the growing confidence of traditional investors. At the same time, Ripple continues to expand the XRP ledger ecosystem. Its dollar-backed stablecoin RLUSD is improving liquidity on the chain and supporting enterprise-level payments. The company is also promoting tokenization, digital asset custody, and cross-border payment solutions, enhancing the long-term usefulness of XRP ledgers beyond speculative trading.

Why XRP fundamentals remain strong despite weak prices

Ripple CEO Brad Garlinhaus also reiterated XRP's advantages as a clearing asset over SWIFT. He believes that XRP transactions can be settled in seconds, minimizing market risks, while traditional cross-border transfers can take days, exposing institutions to greater settlement and counterparty risks.

From a technical perspective, analysts believe XRP may be approaching a critical turning point. Senior market analyst EGRAG CRYSTPTO recently said that the asset appears to be completing confirmation of its largest macro breakthrough in years. If the pattern is confirmed, his initial bullish target is $6.40, while a long-term bull market could support higher valuations.

However, investors are still waiting for price confirmation. ETF capital inflows, the expansion of XRP ledger adoption, the growth of RLUSD and the improvement of the regulatory environment have all strengthened XRP's long-term investment logic, but have not yet created sustained buying pressure sufficient to reverse the overall downward trend.

The next major trend for XRP is likely to depend on the simultaneous emergence of multiple catalytic factors: the overall recovery of the crypto market, the continued inflow of institutional funds, the accelerated adoption of XRP ledgers in the real world, and decisive price breakthroughs in key technical resistance. Until then, XRP was still one of the most fundamental stories in the market, but prices were still catching up.
