XRP spot ETF recorded net inflows, and BTC, ETH and SOL experienced outflows.

The latest ETF fund flow data on September 8 showed that institutional sentiment in the cryptocurrency market showed a divided trend. Among them, XRP spot ETFs became the only major category attracting new capital, while Bitcoin (BTC), Ethereum (ETH) and Solana (SOL) spot ETFs all experienced net outflows.

Details of the flow of funds

Data showed that the XRP spot ETF recorded a net inflow of US$1.55 million, indicating that despite the overall weak performance of other digital asset funds, investor interest in them continues. This positive inflow of funds suggests that some institutional investors remain optimistic about XRP, even as funds are being withdrawn from large cryptocurrency ETFs.

In contrast, the Bitcoin Spot ETF recorded a net outflow of US$46.65 million, and the Ethereum Spot ETF recorded a withdrawal of US$24.29 million. The Solana Spot ETF also ended the trading day in negative territory, recording a net outflow of US$667,720. Extensive divestments from BTC, ETH and SOL funds suggest that institutional investors tend to be cautious during trading hours.

Institutional sentiment remains divided

The latest September 8 ETF fund flow data highlights differences in institutional needs within the cryptocurrency market. While XRP attracted moderate inflows, outflows from BTC, ETH and SOL suggest investors have become more picky and selective in asset allocation.

ETF fund flow data continues to provide important insights into investor positions in major digital assets. Market participants will continue to monitor daily ETF activity closely for changes in institutional sentiment and signs of capital rotation in crypto investment products.
