According to SoValue data, the U.S. spot Bitcoin ETF recorded a net inflow of US$999 million on September 21, of which BlackRock's IBIT contributed US$381 million. The spot Ethereum ETF subsequently added a net inflow of $270 million, with BlackRock's ETHA attracting $110 million.
Institutional holdings increase
According to data from blockchain intelligence provider Lookonchain, an over-the-counter whale purchased 4500 Ethereum units, bringing its total holdings to approximately 37000 units.
Another large holder exchanged 200.71 bitcoins for 6247 Ethereum. Within six days, the wallet address has converted 1308 bitcoins into 40670 Ethereum, and all positions have been pledged.
Enterprise Ethereum accumulator BitMine Immersion appears to have received another 12500 Ethereum tablets. The company had purchased 27562 Ethereum units in the previous week. According to its estimates, the current total open position is close to 5.98 million Ethereum units, with a value of approximately US$16.5 billion at current prices.
Thomas Lee, chairman of BitMine, said the organization believes that Ethereum's price trend in the third quarter may lay the foundation for stronger momentum in the fourth quarter.
Derivatives market active
Trading activity in the derivatives market remains active. The total open interest in Ethereum futures reached approximately US$36 billion, with open interest on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange (CME) increasing by more than 8%.
Key technical levels and resistance
Ethereum encountered rejection near $2786, establishing this key short-term resistance level. Additional resistance targets above this include $2894 and $3177.
